I was not sure if I would be able to find new filters for an old Kenmore humidifier my Mom had. Found a sticker with the part number, did a quick search, and just installed a perfect fit replacement part. These replacement filters have a woven metal reinforcement and since the last ones lasted for years, I am sure these will also. But they were not expensive so could be replaced every year or two.

Best replacement for OEM I have found in two decades of use

These are nothing like OEM, but work well nonetheless. OEM (no longer availably) were paper pleats that would bend into a gentle curve to match the shape of the humidifier housings they were placed into. These require a bit of convincing to fit into the housings, but they will go, and they do wick up water about as well as OEM, certainly better than other branded filters I’ve tried. I used these last winter: I am buying them again for this winter’s use.
