Installed two weeks after delivery.
One Bulb is dead.
Noticed the dead bulb about two weeks ago. Noticed it was also dying little by little, as the hole bulb has mini lights around it-
It’s now July 19 2023.
So one bulb lasted less than a year.
Such a shame. I really Like Alla Lighting bulbs and have been converting all my vehicle lights to Alla Lighting-even my interior.
However, the one that still works, shines nice and bright- no leds dead on that one. (For reference driver side brake light dead- passenger still working)
Maybe I will reach out to them, see what they can do, otherwise, I may have to find something different for my brake lights. Kind of sad that one is already a dead bulb.
Update- 8/04/2023 Alla reached out to me before I had a chance to reach out to them regarding the dead bulb, I wrote my original review about Two weeks ago (roughly)
But a couple days after posting my review, they reached out to me.
They asked about the issue I was having (dead bulb) told them about it, and they asked for the shipping address. Less than a week later, I received one new bulb.
I am going to update my star rating.
They stand by there products, they stand by the warranty of one year. It’s also nice that they reached out to me after I left a review. Shows that they do care about there customers, and there products.
Update 12/12/2023-
In middle of September, my car started giving me a break bulb out,
So last month (October) I “jimmy rigged” my brake pedal while my car was running to see the brake lights. They were all working, so I didn’t think anything of it.
But last night I got the warning three times during an hour drive home from work.
So I once again Jimmy rigged my brake pedal once I got home.
They were both working….
But- then I decided to look closer. Much. Much closer.
That’s when I noticed a bunch of the tiny leds are burnt out. Some are flickering; which probably means those ones are dying as well.
I wish I looked closer in mid September, I would have noticed some LEDs are dead and some dying. If I noticed it then, I would be covered under warranty.
At this point, I got one bulb replaced under warranty. And now another bulb is dying, I wish I payed closer attention to the bulb when I checked it because I would still be under warranty for this one…but that’s not the case now.
So with this being said.
Having one bulb replaced in under a year and it being covered under warranty it got replaced. Now another bulb is dying/dead in about a year (technically less if you consider when I started getting the warning) but now out of warranty; which means I would have to pay for new bulbs.
So in short, these bulbs are flat out amazing, and super bright. They do come in handy where I live, because they are easily seen in thick fog, or snow storms.
But, reliability, longevity is not these bulbs. For granite, maybe mine were just a bad batch? Who knows.
But from my standpoint, having one already been replaced, and another dying;
I personally would avoid these bulbs if using for brake lights.
However, I also bought the same brand (Alla Lighting) for my blinkers and reverse light, they also being the SAME exact type/style and they are all working flawlessly. I also have ALLA Lighting bulbs for my dome/map lights (interior) that are still working flawlessly.
So maybe I actually did get a bad batch?
Anyways, I would avoid the red version, as they are the only ones causing me any issues.
I will say this though, if your product fails in the warranty period, they will honor it. That is always very good to see in a company; you don’t see that often.
