Product Description
Size:8 inch
A must-have in any busy kitchen, this 8-inch open fry pan by Cooks Standard features a wide, flat base and gently curved sides, which allow for easily flipping onions and peppers or gently sliding omelets from the pan to a plate. It also comes in handy when making silver-dollar pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, veggie burgers, and more. The fry pan, which measures 16 by 8-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches, works well for everything from day-to-day dinners to entertaining with friends on the weekends.
Beautifully designed, the three-layer metal cookware features an interior and exterior layer of premium-grade 18/10 stainless steel with a multi-element alloy aluminum core (along the bottom and up the sides) for fast, even heating and thorough heat distribution. Even more, the brushed stainless-steel exterior resists scratches for long-lasting good looks, whether on the stovetop or hanging from a pot rack. The cookware's solid stainless-steel handle comes riveted for strength, offers an ergonomic shape for a comfortable grip, and features air-flow technology to help it stay cooler to the touch than typical handles. For added convenience, the cookware can be used on all stovetop surfaces, including induction, and it withstands an oven's heat up to 500 degrees F..

I am so HAPPY I FINALLY SPENT SOME MONEY ON THESE! I would not recommend any other pan. Those telfon pans are so bad, they flake and that stuff is toxic. I like to be able to scrub my pans when I get them messy, I can with this and it just comes sparkling clean again after! You can soak them overnight- unlike ceramic pans which will get rust spots if you do that. Stainless steel is the way to go and the handle--- Oh the handle really does NOT GET HOT Even when I have it on my power burner for 20 minutes on medium high heat. I have NEVER experienced that. That is why I got the 3 ply clad, not just the stainless steel- there really is a difference which is important when you have 3 small kids in the house, just in case... Because there are times when my mini chef son(7 years old) likes to remove his own pancakes from the pan after the burner is turned off... Its such a great feature. The handles also never get wiggly, idk about anyone else but my handles on my crappy cheapo pans always got loose quickly after buying and you would have to tighten them up with a screw driver- not these- these handles are riveted theres absolutely not way they can get loose. Nicest pans ever buy them. I have 3 now; 2 frying pans and 1 3quart pot. I love all 3 and am happy they sell individually because they are pricey but so worth it... I can just buy one when I have some extra cash and hope to replace all of my junk pots and pans with these in the near future!
I have been reading reviews for these stainless steel pans by Cook. Some people have complained that food sticks and they are really hard to clean. Not true for me. I have used stainless steel pans in the past, and I am very pleased with these. I cooked my eggs this morning and they turned out perfectly! I am including pictures of before, during, and after cooking on a gas stove. See for yourself. I used a generous amount of real butter, heated it on low heat, watched them cook, flipped over for “over well” and NO STICKING.
My pictures speak for themselves. I rinsed off the pan after using while still hot, and I was pleased with how easy the pan was to clean. The eggs were delicious! CR from Wisconsin!

I bought this pan as an add-on to a stainless set I have owned and loved for about 15 years. I can tell you, from what I have observed with this 8" skillet, if I did not already have a full set of stainless this would be my choice. Although if this skillet is any indication, the rest of the set may be a bit too heavy for this old lady.
As to the non-stick quality of stainless: I have never had a sticking problem with my stainless because every time I fry or cook something in the skillets, on clean-up, I always use a scrubbing powder specifically made for polishing stainless pans. It not only keeps the skillets non-stick, it also keeps the pans shiny new-looking after 15 years. Of course others have mentioned, heating the pan and then adding your cooking oil. Swirling it around and voila! no sticking without a non-stick teflon, ceramic, or whatever they're coating pans with these days to keep them from sticking. AND you can use implements made out of whatever material you like: stainless, silicon, wooden, etc.
The only draw-back would be that the lids on the sets appear to be metal. I do prefer tempered glass lids so I can see what is cooking.
Update: I've had this pan 7 months now and love it. Use it primarily for scrambling one or two eggs or for omelets. Works great every time. No problems with sticking because I keep the interior polished after nearly every use.
