I think the value was good for what I got, and I'll be using these for many years. It's so nice not to use straight pins any more, as I lap quilt and would end up with a good number of jabs and lost pins before I got these. These curved pins made basting go about twice as fast, because I could essentially "scoop" the pin through the layers, and kept everything in place as I did my rough and fine hoop-based quilting.

Ich mag diese Sicherheitsnadeln wirklich sehr gern und finde sie unverzichtbar zum Heften.
I mention these things as I bought another brand on amazon and half the box I had to throw away as they were blunt and the heads were tight so difficult to close.
Not with these though they are excellent quality and well worth the money.
