Customers are mixed about the snow blower. Some mention it's stronger than expected, throws the snow very well, and is great for the infrequent snow in Ohio. They say it blows the sand a good distance away. However, others say that it only throws snow based on how fast you can push it, it doesn't throw the snow 25 feet, more like 8-10, at best, which may be an issue if it struggles mightily in very packed snow. It works great in fluffy stuff and struggles a bit in wet heavy snow.

Customers are mixed about the quality of the snow blower. Some mention that it has a good build quality, is sturdy, and reliable. However, others say that it broke quickly, is not as powerful, and the tines are made of hard plastic.
"...It handily cuts through a 6-inch snowfall. And the fact, there's no fuel or oil to deal with along with instant star is a big plus.2.)..." Read more
"...to get installed correctly, I was a little perturbed that it came undone so quickly...." Read more
"I really like the green works line of products. Very dependable and sturdy...." Read more
"...The snow blower arrived severely damaged. It had been dropped from a height and the internals of the drive mechanism were jammed...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the power of the snow blower. Some mention that they are impressed with the power this little machine has, saying it has adequate power to cut through 8-10" of snow. However, others say that it's not powerful enough to do all the snow, and that the battery is not strong enough.
"...Takes about 15 minutes to do my driveway and sidewalks. The engine is electric (powered by an extension cord), so it's quiet and powerful enough for..." Read more
"...Make sure you use 40 Amp battery, the 20 Amp just isn't strong enough." Read more

It doesn't do as well for higher amounts of snow. I think it says it can do up to 10", but that would be for light, dry, and cold snow.
And I would not want to try it to get rid of snow that's turned to ice - I fear the blades might crack.
Assembling it wasn't difficult, but a few pieces were confusing - the middle handle (lower part) has a cord securing device or dongle that has to face a certain way, and neither the illustrations nor the directions mentioned that. So I had to disassemble it and redo it -- but it wasn't hard to do. Also, the handle that moves the direction of the "spout" has to go into the machine deeper than you realize - there's a rubber sleeve somewhere inside the machine that the handle goes through that doesn't seem to want to accept the handle, so you have to really push it, which is scary if you think you might break something.
The blades of the rotary "wheel" are plastic, but for light- to medium-duty, they're fine. It gets the snow off down to the pavement of my smooth sidewalks, and right close to the surface of my textured driveway.
This probably won't work on a graveled driveway or a driveway that has a deeply grooved surface like cobblestone, but it seems to work fine on all kinds of materials as long as the surface is hard and somewhat smooth.
There are a few downsides. One is its weight. Because it is super light, the temptation is to push it more than you should, slightly elevating the back wheels, and grinding the scraper part of the machine into the pavement/concrete. Which means it stops going forward. Takes practice to not be tempted to push it harder than you need to, and to go slower than you think you can.
The other is the way you power it: it needs an extension cord. I find this reasonable because that gives the lighweight and *quiet* engine the power it needs, a good compromise between a battery-powered machine (less power, requires recharging) and a gas-powered machine (more powerful, but usually far, far heavier and more difficult to maneuver and store). But the cord is going to want to travel behind you, which means that every so often you're going to step on. You can try to use the little dongle to secure the cord to the handle, but if you're using a long extension cord (mine is 100'), you're going to need the thicker 12/3 and not the 14/3 cord -- which is too thick for the dongle. Easy enough to just wrap the cord once around the handle, but still -- the cord is going to be there following you. Not a huge thing, but be aware of it.
So, over all, really and truly five stars. Works great, lightweight, easy to put together, easy to fold down and stow away.
For my use, it's well worth the price.
Today the snow is here and I took it out for it's first run. I bought a 100 foot cord just for this. We had a moderate snow fall last night and still coming down a bit today. There was between 5 and 8 inches of snow out there. Living in a townhome, I don't have a lot of snow to move, but I have two neighbors in their late 80's one neighbor who just had knee surgery, and a single mom with no shoveling age kids at home as neighbors, so I decided to hit all of their houses too and clear their cars out while doing the entire sidewalk in front of all the houses in my row. All in all I cleared about 250 feet of side walk. Because this was my first excursion, it was fun.
The snow itself was light, but when clearing the cars, the plows had already made a berm in front of them. The berms were about a foot deep and two feet wide and were packed hard snow. As with any machine, you have to pay attention. But this little thing definitely clears snow. FOr the harder packed stuff moved by the plows, just take a couple of passes.
This doesn't like uneven surfaces. Our sidewalks aren't exactly level and when there were differences of more than a half inch between the slabs this would get hung up a little. But if you're paying attention, you can easily handle it. It took me about 2 hours to do all of this. During this time I did have to clear the chute several times as the snow would pack up inside. Again pay attention - If it's not shooting out, it needs to be cleared.
With this being a plug in model - Cord management and cord attention is a must, or you will run over it as one user mentioned in their review. It's a bit of a pain, but not so much as to justify me going to the cordless model (at twice the price) that wouldn't have lasted the amount of time I was out there without recharging . . . .
On the chute, after a few times of adjusting the direction of the chute with the bar that took me so long to get installed, it stopped adjusting with it. Likely the bar slipped out of its slot and I will have to get it back in. It's not a big deal as it is easy enough to reach over the handle and manually adjust the angle of the chute. However, since that darn thing took me so long to get installed correctly, I was a little perturbed that it came undone so quickly. That is the main reason this isn't getting 5 stars . . .
The video shows you my second pass of my walkway . . . You can see how smooth, and easy it is and how it gets right down to the surface without making a whole lot of noise . . . Video shot with my Blink Security cam . . .

I bought this snowthrower to clear our front path, and our single-lane driveway behind the car. Once the car is moved out of the way, our snow removal service is supposed to plow the driveway. But our snow removal service has been unreliable this winter, and I have ended doing the entire driveway with this hard-working little snowthrower.
I even cleared a 4-foot high drift by using a shovel to knock down snow from the front edge of the drift, and then cleaning it up with the snowthrower.
Almost all the parts are hard plastic, and seem durable so far. Greenworks includes an order sheet so you can buy replacement parts if needed.
The only drawback is that you need to use an extension cord, and keep the extension cord a safe distance from the front of the snowthrower. Anyone who has used an electric lawn mower will understand. But it has worked so well, I gave it 5 stars anyway.
Die Grenzen liegen Auf Unebenheiten, 4AH Akku ist gerade ausreichend
However, it's very important to note that this is basically not a real snowblower. So if you are aspiring to clear, say, a snowbank in front of your driveway, or even deal with a large snowdrift, you should forget that idea right now. This is a snowblower for light duty only. It's a good substitute for a snow shovel on the deck, most of the time.
Another small problem with this snowblower is that the chute that doesn't stay in place that well (it always shifts to the front, even if you point it to the side).
If this item is on sale, it's a solid buy. But you have to be aware of its limitations.
Even though I got mine on sale, there is no sale low enough for bad product that is practically useless.
