It required a little modification by snapping out the plastic rib supports or if you want to get particular you could dremel out just enough for the sub to drop in flush. There was also a little rub at the top of the enclosure which if you were to use a heat gun to soften the plastic a little and press a metal cup up against it to put a small arc in the plastic it would eliminate the rub. Snip the ends off the factory wiring and insert them into the tension connections on this sub and you are up and running. Great overall sound with even with the crappy factory amp that doesn't push this speaker to it max capabilities so if you have the extra cash I'd recommend picking up a new amp for it but fair warning the crappy factory amp gives this a good enough kick that it rattles the Jeep ;) I also have an aftermarket headunit so I can't speak to its performance with the factory deck still.

I sealed the doors the best I could all the way around and put the Noico 80mil soundproofing on the interior side. I'm pushing the 2 of them with a mono kicker 500 rms amp and they sound great. When the back windows are down I will say it effects the sound a lot more than I would like. With the kicker component speakers I have in the front doors, full car 80 mil soundproofing, and the 15" solo-baric L7S I have coming I will be complete. Thanks for the good kicker product

On a side note, the fabrication you need to do to the factory enclosure is not that big of a deal. If you can operate a rotary tool or just use hand tools efficiently, you won’t have an issue. Well worth the money, well worth the time, and I am more than happy with this product.
