Bigger bowl, bigger batches of homemade goodness!
The Michigan winters can be long and a bit dreary with the lack of natural sunlight, so during the winter, I put my KitchenAid to work! There’s something about home cooking that makes being hold up in the house, seem like a cozy vacation. Don’t get me wrong, I use my KitchenAid all year long, but especially during “cooking making weather”. I stepped up my game this year to the 8 qt commercial mixer and could not be more pleased with my purchase! Doubling a cookie recipe without overwhelming the bowl was enough to make the 8qt more appealing, but add in the increased motor size and a few attachments and this mixer turns into a legitimate hobby that everyone can enjoy. Bored during the winter? Get yourself a KitchenAid and open the door to scratch cooking, without the work of hand kneading and mixing. Want to be able to share your creations? Invest in this mixer and you’ll find yourself doubling and quadrupling recipes with ease, so you can share some, sell some or freeze for future use, while cleaning the kitchen just once! I’m in love!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2019
Love this mixer. Since i'm a pasty chef, i've used this mixer in a few places i've worked and it's held up great. I decided to purchase one for my own use at home. I currently own the KA 4.5 qt and an industrial 20 qt. mixer. When I received the mixer I immediately put it to the test. Since I was having a Christmas party a few weeks later, I needed to make cookies, cakes, mousses, cheesecakes, etc. To make a long story short, it held up to the task with ease. Since then i've mixed cakes, buttercreams, more cookies and mousses with it and again no issues. Great mixer and it makes my life easier. My reason for buying this mixer was due to the 4.5 qt was too small for some recipes I have (so I needed to make them a few times w/the 4.5 qt.). And my 20 qt. was too big and wouldn't mix the recipe correctly. My next test will be mixing bread dough, which i'm doing today. Obviously this mixer has it's limits and I know what they are, but I will break down my recipe to accommodate what I need and what will work in this particular mixer. I'm glad I purchased this mixer, i'm very satisfied.
