Product Description

Meet the Crusader in your kitchen.

The strenght of Damascus stainless steel, the skillfulness of samourais, the grace of a classic Gyuto with a tsuchime finish refinement and the promise of a life-lasting companionship.

This is the Hammered Kutt Knife.

With an exceptionally high degree of structural uniformity and internal soundness, the Hammered Kutt Knife is a synthesis of state of the art techniques from all over the world, combined for achieving the true science of taste. Being multipurpose, it is practically the only knife you will need, working out both for the left-handed and the right-handed. The vacuum treatment reduces the tendency of steel to become embrittled, facilitating it to conform to microcleanliness requirements.

Forget about food sticking to your blade, fasten your speed, hold a precision edge and let yourself wander through the vastness of gastronomy and cuisine.

Respect history, but most of all, respect yourself. Eat well! Kutt well!

Because The Quality of the Work Depends On the Quality of the Knife

When it comes to the tools of a great chef, the knife is easily the most important. Where would a master chef be without a glinting, silver knife in his or her hand, waiting to deftly cut, slice, and dice with mind numbing precision, to the awe and appreciation of onlookers?

A real chef knows that the knife is not just a piece of silverware, it is the basis for his art, and the quality of his work depends on the quality of his knife. That's why real chefs use the Kutt knife. They know that Kutt is capable of the performance they can count on to make all their creations a work of art.

A Chef’s Favorite

Why do so many chefs choose the Kutt Premium Chef Knife as their go to knife? Chefs have seen knives get replaced time and time again, and they know the importance of having a knife they can rely on to stay in mint condition.

This razor sharp knife set includes an 8" chef's knife and 4" paring knife with high quality stainless steel blades, and comfortable Pakka wood grips that won't tire your wrist. Both are capable of slicing thinly when needed, and stay sharp, with minimal maintenance, while the layers give them the beautiful finish that makes a stunning presentation and perfect choice for all your meal preparations.

Unrivaled Strength

The Kutt knives feature ultra-sharp Japanese stainless steel to ensure superior strength, stain resistance, and durability. They're perfectly balanced with a well angled hammered blade for precision slicing, dicing, mincing and chopping allowing you to exercise all the techniques of a world class chef in the convenience of your kitchen.

Pakka Wood Engineering, Precision Blades

Both knives feature Pakka Wood handles with copper riveting and gorgeous circle detailing. The handle shape provides a comfortable grip for deft maneuvering and skilled cutting techniques that will bring a professional touch to food presentation and while bringing a touch of elegance to your dining table.

The 8 inch VG-10 chef knife features an extra wide 2.5 mm blade, while the 4 inch paring knife is 2.2 millimeters thick, both with part hammered and part mirror level to reduce sluggish drag and eliminate stuck on food, requiring minimum maintenance while providing maximum power.

Kutt knows how important it is for a chef to have a quality knife in his arsenal. That's why we've designed our Kutt Damascus Chef Knife Set to deliver the high level of performance that marks a great chef.

an excellent beginner knife
two years ago i purchased this knife pair for $100 and i couldnt recommend it enough for anyone else starting off. whether you're a beginner looking to stay within a budget, or you're a pro looking for something sturdy and cheap, this chef knife is definitely it. I started making sushi about two years ago and needed an inexpensive yet respectable knife. this knife does not feel cheap at all. it has a comfortable weight and is properly balanced. its length is perfect for new chefs who dont have the accuracy and consistency to use a large blade, or yanigaba, yet still carries a great versatile shape for a variety of uses. my only complaint out of the box was that the blade seemed rather thick, compared to my colleagues' but i soon forgot about that.I didnt want to ruin an expensive knife with my inexperience in sharpening, so i went with this thinking, if i could get this cheap Amazon knife to work for me, i could make magic with some real steel eventually. two years of weekly (and sometimes daily) sharpening, and seemingly endless 10 hour days of cutting through all sorts of veggies, fish and bones, this knife has proven to be a real underdog in the kitchen. i would buy this again over and over if i had to, though im currently on the hunt for something more premiumi included a picture of where the knife is now, compared to its cutout in the box and as you can see, ive shaved off a LOT of metal. i know a major part of that is due to incorrect knife sharpening, oversharpening, and the sheer amount of use the knife has seen, though im not entirely sure what it says about the metal itself. she's lost a bit of her luster as i dont really care to polish the knife often and the handle had started to lose its shine somewhere in the first 6 months. The paring knife that came in this set is also a trooper that doesnt get the recognition it deserves. i thought i had lost it one day, until a few months later when i found out my boss had been using it the whole time. everyone asks to borrow my paring knife. ive only sharpened it once on a machine. definitely holds up.

I have always wanted a high quality chef`s knife, and this one is everything i hoped for. First of all, it's beautiful, well constructed, heavy, and balanced. Easily the sharpest knife I've ever owned. I tested it on a tomato, and with no effort it sliced the tomato in paper thin slices as if i was cutting through butter. I can't wait to use it for all my kitchen needs. And the paring knife is awesome too!

Well balanced, very sharp, delicate blade and nice handle. Well balanced to! These seem to be real VG-10 which I was Leary about at first. The handles are NICE wood and the knives are gorgeous! The full-tang blade is just wonderful. The metal dimpling at the top allows for better cutting. These knives really cut well and are a gem to own so far!
cons: I left them in water a few times so had to scrub them well but the surface rust came right off (my fault and they seem fine now). Take care of them and they will treat you well. We put ours back in the box after use now.
UPDATE: I have OWNED for OVER 1 YEAR! I just Purchased a Second Set as a gift!

I don't use the big knife everyday, even though it's designed as an all purpose chef knife. The little one sees a lot of use cutting vegetables (yes, it passed the Tomato Test right out of the box), trimming steaks & cleaning up poultry and has retained a brilliant luster even after a year of use. I try to keep these two sharp on a whetstone. The handles are made of a very interesting dark wood that looks best with thorough hand washing. The wood seems to have been sealed very well so I'm hoping to never have to re-varnish them.

I own a number of Dalstrong Shogun Series Knives as well as several Japanese-made Yaxell Knives; I have a Kutt Chef knife I bought over two-year ago which I use regularly. I am familiar with high-quality cuttlery. That all being said I feel qualified to give my impression of the Kutt hammered-Chef knife and Paring knife set: they are awesome! Very sharp, very well made... And worth every penny! Color me IMPRESSED!

The steel looks good but the handles are not finished well. You can feel the rough edges from where the wood handle was polished down below the edge of the rivets, leaving sharp handle pin edges. One of the handle scales has a big crack in it as well. I image it will fail and fall off in a few weeks / months. I'm disappointed in the details and quality control. Now do I want to deal with returning them or fix them myself.... super annoying.

At beginning the knife was really sharp, after weeks of it using it it was really hard to sharp it on a wet stone so it wasn't fully sharped and
