From the manufacturer

About us

Lisle Corporation recently celebrated the company's founding and 115 years of continuous manufacturing in Clarinda, Iowa in 2018. The privately owned company is led today by third, fourth, fifth and sixth generation family members.

C.A. Lisle started the company in 1903 with the first product being horse-powered water well drilling machines. To combat the seasonality of the well drilling business, the young company branched out and also manufactured washing machines, cream separators, and push-type reel lawn mowers.

Product Description

For Small Cylinders: 1 1/2" to 3" (38.1-76.2mm) Quality tool at a low price. Takes all the rings at one setting.

    Design or damage?
The base of the unit was either dented up or designed so it could not be slipped into the piston. The package was certainly weathered, but the divots on the bottom almost looked intentional maybe so the ring would slip in the bore and not the compressor which is a nonsense theory, but I am checking with the manufacturer just in case. Pretty sure it's damaged but I'll let you know if the manufacturer gets back and up and leave the stars at three or lower them based off the results. The manufacturer never responded, but it would blow my mind if divots were intentional. Further inspection of the package, a bubble wrapped sleeve, indicated it could have had a rough trip. This is partly a recommendation for something more protective when shipped due to the tool's delicate thin metal. That said, the item's package was weathered and likely had issues before shipping which was my cause for return.
