Product Description

Showcase your unique photographic style. The 055PRO3 kit includes the ground-breaking 055 aluminium 3-section tripod, which can be used for an extensive range of video and photography applications. It also includes the MHXPRO-3W X-PRO 3-Way Head and a quick-release plate so you can use the tripod with a wide variety of devices. Easily switch the tripod from vertical to horizontal position thanks to the 90° centre column mechanism, in the upper casting for compactness. In fact, you can switch orientation even with your camera attached so you can save time and keep your equipment in the desired position.

The legs of the 055XPRO3 tripod with head can be extended and adjustable quickly, and this is also thanks to the Quick Power Lock levers, which block each leg section. The QPL levers are specially designed to provide a more comfortable single-handed opening of all leg sections. The levers also offer more powerful locking of every leg section.

Intuitive and ergonomic leg angle selectors allow each leg to be independently set to any of the pre-set angle. A bubble level is built into the top of the centre column for precise framing. This is freely rotating, which means it can be positioned wherever it is easiest for you to observe while you adjust your tripod. The top casting of the 055XPRO3 has a handy Easy Link connector that is compatible with an accessory (such as an LED light, flash, reflector, ecc) on an extending arm or bracket. Make your tripod a practical mobile studio. The X-PRO 3-Way Head has retractable levers which make it ultra-compact, and also has new friction controls on the portrait and tilt axes. These help to balance the weight of your camera equipment so that you can make adjustments with the locking knobs open. Once closed, they will lock everything into place for your next shoot.

Great stand. The stand is sturdy and has a place for a weight if needed. There are 3 positions for the angle of the legs. It has the dual collar ( 90° and 360° ). The head is sturdy and uses friction plates. You can adjust the friction amount with the grey knobs and the black knobs are used to manually maneuver and lock in the position. There are 4 leveling bubbles, 1 one the stand and 3 on the head. The quick release plate that attaches to the camera and attaches to the stand fits tight with no wiggle room. This product came with, what looks to be, 1 factory quick release plate and two after market plates. The aftermarket plates are slightly heavier and look cheap but they also have a tight fit. See pictures. The stand did arrive 3 days late even with it having free PRIME 2 day shipping (not Amazon's fault, I blame USPS). The box also came beat up but nothing was damaged. I see this ALOT with usps. Amazon did work with me and was very helpful. Great customer service on Amazon's side

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Tripod!
Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2017
One of the nicest, most well made tripods I've ever used or tried out. If you aren't a larger stronger person I'm not sure I would recommend the aluminium 3 section due to it being slightly on the heavy side especially when camera is mounted. I'm 6'3" so i can handle a little extra weight but for anyone smaller spending time in the mountains shooting like I do I would recommend the carbon fiber one. Another plus at my height I've rarely used or found tripods that would let me shoot eye level while attached, this one you can! Well worth the money and would buy again, product came super fast and everything was in order. In closing if you have a cheap camera buy a cheap tripod, if you have a nice camera buy one of these, you will not be sorry you did. Attached is my first photo snapped using the new setup.
