Product Description

Earlier this year, McFarlane Toys announced its partnership with Ubisoft to create action figures from the blockbuster Assassin's Creed series of video games. The Assassin's Creed series tells the story of a heroic order of Assassins, fighting a conspiracy that spans thousands of years. From the latest chapter of one of the biggest, most popular video game franchises ever, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag moves the action and adventure of the Assassin's Creed video game series to an all-new time and setting: the lawless Pirate Republic of the Caribbean. Fans will now be able to further immerse themselves in the pirate life with the new Assassin's Creed IV Hidden Blade and Gauntlet with bonus Skull Buckle role-play items! This life-size, role-play accessory lets fans wear the signature weapon of the heroic Assassins. Our all-NEW version of the Hidden Blade is based on the one worn by the main character, Edward Kenway, in the upcoming blockbuster Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The Hidden Blade Gauntlet features a spring-loaded, retractable blade, with switchblade-style action, just as seen in the Assassin's Creed video game series! The Blade section attaches to bottom of forearm with Velcro straps; Gauntlet attaches to top of forearm with strap and buckle. As a an added bonus, this boxed item also includes an exclusive accessory: a replica of the skull-shaped buckle worn on Edward's bandolier. Since pistol bandoliers probably aren't part of your modern wardrobe, we've turned the buckle into a more versatile clip-on pin. Show your allegiance to the Republic of Pirates by attaching your Skull Buckle to a shirt, belt, backpack, strap, or anything else that needs a dash of pirate style! Our plastic Skull Buckle features the rough, hand-forged appearance of 1700's metalworking and is approximately three Inch wide.

Retractable Hidden Blade directions:

Slide the switch above the skull to the ‘on’ position to lock the blade inside the blade compartment. Slide the switch to the ‘off’ position to unlock the blade and press down on the skull to eject the blade from the blade compartment.

Customers are mixed about the performance of the blade gun. Some mention that it works great, serves its purpose, and doesn't disappoint. Excellent, durable accessory

Excellent, durable accessory
We bought this to accessorise an Assassins Creed Halloween costume (and store on the nerd shelf, etc). The item arrived quickly and comes with 4 items: the faux leather gauntlet (does not separately attach to the arm), the spring loaded assassin blade (which has 2 pairs of Velcro straps to affix it to the arm and gauntlet), a useless brown plastic band, and a skull badge to accessorize your cloak.Overall, I'm very impressed. We've used the spring loaded blade quite a few times (20+) and it still retracts and springs forward. There's also a locking mechanism at the bottom of the blade, to avoid unintended releases. See photos (the ones with the tape measure visible) for actual lengths.
