These machines make more money in my business than any other machine in our shop! We own two and will soon be adding a third. The awesome features of this machine: they run on 110v at 130 amps, and can weld up to 1/2" on 220v. It is my opinion they are under rated at 3/8" by Miller. You can run three different sized wires all of one feed roller, no need to keep up with multiple roller sets, and you can even use an aluminum spool gun with them! We often use ours on mobile welding jobs and power the machine off a Miller Bobcat 250 or Trailblazer 302 ... well worth the investment. Miller often has a rebate program on a wide variety of their machines and we got a 200.00 rebate on one of them. The rebate came very quick from what I remember ... less than 3 weeks.
I haven't had a ton of time with this new welder. But 2 things really stood out instantly. The weight! It's light, Almost crazy light. And for someone who is just a weekend welder. It welds amazingly well. I laid down some of the best beads I have ever ran on the first pass. The penetration was dead on. The bead was well formed and the auto setting was almost dead on. It did seem on thicker material just a little extra heat worked a bit better. I suppose my only negative would be the same one almost everyone has had. The ground clamp is cheap. Its very thin and just doesn't look like it will hold up very well. I'm sure it will be fine for me. But if your using every day an upgade is probably in order.
Love it. Wish I hadn't waited so long to upgrade. Powerful, light, easy to use and makes great welds. I also bought the spool gun and can't wait to use it. Certainly hope it will be less tedious to weld aluminum than my TIG. Also love the easy to use dual voltage setup. Super easy. One criticism - description on Amazon says it comes with an M-10 gun. So I stocked up on tips, nozzles, etc. It doesn't!! It comes with the MDX-100 gun - consumables have no compatibility. Whoever buys my old Millermatic 135 is going to get lots of spares.
I love this welder. I ran a 220 circuit for it. So I have not tried it on 110. I probably won't unless I need to take it outside my shop to fix something for someone. That seems wonderful about this product.
I have only used it with solid wire and gas shielding. I am no expert by any means. I do know that when I have tried flux core wire on a different machine, I ended up with terrible results. It could just be me.

I have had my Miller 211 for 3 years I have welded for 42 years this welder worked great for the first two years I loved it after that I have in the last year under warranty put six boards in it went out on me again today and enough is enough I'm going to make it a boat anchor or something. I said it was a great welder for a while but now it's a piece of junk the fan runs but there's no lights or nothing but I have an old Miller 180 that welds every day and has never ever once given me a problem very unhappy with the 211 I won't be buying another one. Unhappy business owner only cause being down means I have to contact all my customer and start rescheduling their work.. Ralph Campbell mobile welding LLC
