I recently purchased this for my 05 F150 XLT 5.4L V3. It had been occasionally misfiring under load but the misfires were never consistent enough to throw a trouble code or turn on the check engine light. The original plugs and coils had about 130,000 miles on them so I figured they were due. After a little fight, and lots of determination, I was able to remove all the original plugs without breaking a single one. I installed these new plugs and coils without issue and my truck is running awesome. I gained about 2.5 MPG on the highway and the throttle response was noticeably improved. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation. I will say that the labor involved in changing these plugs and coils is a little time consuming and not for those who are not mechanically inclined. I also got the Lisle Broken Spark Plug tool but was lucky enough to not have to use it. After successfully doing this on my own truck, friends and coworkers have been bugging me to help them with their F150's. Between the price break on Amazon and the saving in labor, I figured I saved a large chunk of change.

Excellent products. Fixed the overdrive shudder between 45-50mph when under load. Be careful when you remove the old plugs, they are know to break off easily. MAKE SURE the engine is up to operating temp (I drove mine around for 5 mins) and use an impact wrench on a light setting to get the old ones out. I did this and did not break any... and the two in the back were originals with 250K on them (no electrode left). An air compressor is handy to blow the crud out after you pull the boots off too. I don't care what anyone says about using an impact wrench on plugs, this is the only way to get these out without breaking them. If you use a ratchet or the engine is cold you will be buying a spark plug puller to get the broken ones out.

Plugs are new design but otherwise exactly like the last set I installed that lasted 90,000 miles. I replaced the COP's this time also. Everything was easy, whole job took a little over 2 hours. Noticeably better running 2005 Ford F150 5.4L. The last time I replaced I used specified anti seize on the shrouds and threads. I de-carboned the engine with SeaFoam and all the plugs came out easily with no screeching sounds. Have a couple hundred miles on the new coils and plugs and everything is running great. Good price for the whole set.

So far so good. 2006 F150 4x4 with 115K miles was occasionally missing. Took it in to my mechanic and the cost to replace the plugs alone was nearly $800. These plugs are tricky to replace in that they break easily when removing the old plug so I really didn't feel comfortable changing them myself. My mechanic said if I could find the plugs cheaper than he could sell them to me for, to go ahead and buy them and he would install them and only charge me the labor. The net result was I purchased this set of plugs AND coils for half the cost of new plugs through my mechanic. He installed them and the truck is running like new again. Saved nearly $300.

With some trepidation - and the extractor tool, just in case - I changed the plugs and coils on my 2006 F150 with 5.4 Triton.
Not a single one broke off.
The truck runs SO much better now. The previous owner had obviously put off changing the plugs due to the possible nightmare, as the old ones were eroded down to almost nothing. Hard acceleration produced the "flashing CEL" meaning a miss. Now, all good. No CEL any time (knock on wood).
Time will tell how they last, but I couldn't he happier with the installation and quality for the first couple months.

The spark plugs are genuine Motor Craft and they arrrived in good condition and foresee no issues being OEM. However, within 200 miles I began to have a random hiccup. I have my own nice handheld scanner and monitored closely. Finally found a pending code for one cylnder. I replaced these coils as a general maintenance. I wasn’t having any misfire problems or drivablility issues prior. So I installed the old coil on the cylinder showing a pending code. After driving another 50 miles or so, it began again. Repeated the diagnose and it was a different cylnder. So I installed the old coil and issue seemed to be fine until it repeated and showed a different cylinder. At this point I just installed all the old coils and since, after a few hundred miles have not experienced any more of the random misfires. My recommendation is to avoid these coils and replace with OEM or a known good quality set. Also, I’m not pulling the plugs back out so I’m wondering how the refund or return process is going to work since it’s a kit. I have used other eBay cheap coils and autopart store coils on other vehicles and never had any fail in such a short time. They are the blue coils so according to the write up posted, they are the ones that are supposed to be good. Beware and buy others or at least do not buy a kit with the plugs so that you can return or get refunded easily. I’m sure these are “imported” in bulk and resold with a markup and this branding of quality. Just beware, some may have had good luck and gave the 5 stars, but I’m certain based on the experience I have had that these will not last long.

I got the items 4 days faster than expected. I installed them today. I was at a friends whom has lots of experience with the 04 triton motors. Well after 9 hours, I leave and the truck is running fine. I travel 15 miles to my house and now i have 2 bad coil packs already. They got progressively worse on my way home. It died turning into my subdivision. Now i have to go buy 2 more at the parts store. New coils on new plugs. Manufacturers defects im sure. Probably chinese made coils. Id say you have a 50/50 chance of getting a good set.
