V-12 Reverse Brake and Clutch Bleeder
Patented Reverse Bleeding
The V-12 works by removing trapped air in a brake system, which naturally wants to rise. The air is pushed up and out the master cylinder to create a firmer pedal.
One Person Operation
This new patented technology allows for a perfect one person brake job. Our reverse brake bleeding system also reduces the amount of time needed to achieve a perfect pedal.
Versatile Methods
The V-12 is versatile enough to perform a combination of bleeding techniques, including reverse, pressure, vacuum, or bench, to easily bleed ABS systems and clutches.
Additional Features:
- Portable, lightweight, no electricity or air compression required
- Comes with instructional DVD
- 1 year manufacturer warranty
- Removes MAX trapped air
- Designed for professional use
- Made of Zytel Nylon
- Rebuildable
V-12 Reverse Brake Bleeder is Capable of Reverse, Vacuum, Pressure and Bench Brake Bleeding
Often ties air gets trapped in a brake component or a bend in a brake line. Traditional pumping of the brake or clutch pedal may not be enough to remove all of the trapped air, leaving you with diminished stopping power. We recommend using a combination of reverse, vacuum, pressure and even a bench bleed when needed to remove all the trapped air. Phoenix System carries the only brake technology capable of performing all known bleeding methods with just one tool.

Stacey David of Gearz TVWe sent our patented tool to Stacey David of Gearz TV. After using the V-12 at his garage, he said: "The Phoenix V-12 DIY brake bleeder will put an end to those 'white knuckle' panic stops. With the V-12, in a few short minutes, you'll have the best, firmest pedal you can get. The V-12 is a brilliant commonsense solution to the age-old challenge of brake bleeding. It allows one person to achieve the best possible pedal." |
Kevin Byrd of Two Guys GarageKevin Byrd of Two Guys Garage tried out our tool on their show and this is what he had to say: "All of the traditional brake bleeding methods are trying to get the air to go the wrong direction. We all know air wants to float up. Phoenix Systems has a great brake bleeder that is best known for its reverse bleed. Before you know it, you'll have the firmest pedal available and you'll be able to roll down the road again." |
Scotty Kilmer, YouTube SensationScotty Kilmer, Emmy Award winning mechanic of 46 plus years gives us some of his remarks after using our tool: "If your brake pedal is getting mushy, you might have air in your lines and you need to bleed the air out. The Phoenix Bleeder works with the air instead of against it. It pushes the air up, so it naturally flows out. What I like best about this injector is that it makes brake bleeding a one man job, and I hate working with other people!" |

Product Description
If you do mechanic work, you probably already know something about bleeding brakes. And one thing you’ve definitely learned over the years is that brake bleeding can be a cumbersome and time-consuming process – particularly for certain vehicles and especially for ABS. Which is why you may be surprised to find out there’s a tool that can make bleeding brakes fast and easy – and oh, we should also mention: extremely simple. It’s called the Phoenix V-12 Medium Duty Shop Use Reverse Brake & Clutch Bleeder, and we’re certain it’ll change the way you think about brake bleeding. With the Phoenix V-12, one man can bleed the brakes on any vehicle in 10 minutes or less – even if it’s a tough ABS job (you won’t need a scan tool or special clips). Tip: Our Patented Reverse Bleed Technology is what makes this tool so unique. The Phoenix V-12 Reverse Brake & Clutch Bleeder is a revolutionary tool based on an incredibly obvious concept: Air wants to go up. That’s it. Traditional brake bleeding tools and techniques fight this principle. At Phoenix, we harness it, so you can quickly remove all the air from the whole braking system. Reverse bleeding: It’s an idea so simply and obviously right that most people ask, Why didn’t anyone think of that before?

What stands out about this kit is its reverse bleeding technology. This feature ensures that air is pushed out of the brake lines from the bottom up, which is the most effective way to remove trapped air and prevent spongy brakes. The difference in brake responsiveness after using this kit is night and day. Knowing I'm achieving a professional-level bleed with minimal effort is reassuring.
The quality of the components is top-notch. Each piece feels durable and well-made, designed to withstand regular use without compromising performance. The hard case is a thoughtful touch, keeping all the parts organized and protected, which is essential for someone who likes to keep their tools in working order.
What I appreciate most about the V-12 Reverse Brake & Clutch Bleeder Kit is its versatility. It is incredibly convenient to be able to work on a wide range of vehicles without needing additional tools or assistance. This kit saves time and money, considering the cost of professional servicing. This tool was critical to getting this repair done in a pinch and saving over $1,000. Even for standard maintenance, it pays for itself in the first use. The last time my dealer bled the brakes on my wife's SUV - the total was over $310.
Using the kit is surprisingly simple, thanks to clear instructions and a user-friendly design. Phoenix Systems has put a lot of thought into making this kit accessible to DIY enthusiasts without sacrificing the quality of the bleed. The efficiency of being able to bleed the brakes or clutch by myself, without the hassle of coordinating with a second person, cannot be overstated.
In conclusion, the Phoenix Systems (2003-B) V-12 Reverse Brake & Clutch Bleeder Kit is an outstanding addition to any DIY mechanic's arsenal. Its efficiency, quality, and ease of use make it worth the investment. Whether you're an experienced mechanic or just starting to take vehicle maintenance into your own hands, this kit will not disappoint. I recommend this for anyone looking to streamline their brake maintenance process and achieve professional results.
All in all, it does work and the quality is good. Some people broke the gun I noticed. If you take your time I don't see that being an issue to be honest. My only complaint is the cost, I don't think it's worth it. If you are thinking about getting this, I might suggest getting the cheaper version, although I think the plastic used to construct the gun might be different. If this kit was closer to a hundred bucks I could give it more stars, but as-is I think this tool is just okay.

Filled in online form to Phoenix explaining my problem. Followed up by 2 calls to them. Answerphone each time and left a clear message with call back numbers.
Never heard from them!
So decided to return the faulty item. Awaiting a refund. Back to the old way of brake bleeding.
I could not possibly recommend this product or the non existent customer service!
-the pump comes stuck from factory. That's correct.
- work is very messy. Yeah. Can be!
-tool feels cheap on handle or quality. Well it feels good enough.
- it creat more air than anything! Well. If you haven't discovered how to operate, it might.
Now I'll get into details how to fix these issies before 'brake' it.
As a professional mechanic I use this tool basically every day on multiple cars/brands and my own car. It's been about 4 months now. Never had an abs or related issue.
Does it really manage to bleed the system in a way that makes the pedal fell very rigid and responsive? In most cases, yes.
This tool resquires constant maintenance, right out of the box, due to its desing. For me, now days it works pretty much flawless, because I'm constantly maintaining.
So right out of the box - Even before you try to do the first pumping. - do as follow:
You have to lube the piston's o'ring(instruction can be found on they're website, if you need). Just remove the transparent barrel by rotanting. Lube the o'ring and the cilinder wall. I use and recomend silicone paste. It's neutral and doesn't react with the brake fluid. (do not use petroleum based stuff, as it might damaged the o'ring).
To prime the pump:
The manual says to prime the pump straight back to the return line into the same providade bottle. I don't recomend that. It leads to more air bubbles inside the fluid.
Get the bottle full of fluid, place it on the floor in a way it won't tilt, get another reservour and put it sufficiently high so the whole pump stays vertical. Sometimes its quite hard to get rid of all bubbles inside the tube, cause they can stick to the side walls. Give it some finger taps to where they are as you pump it. Just re-fill the bottle as it gets to 1/4.
Bleeding on the car:
Here there is a catch, and they don't tell in the manual.
1stp, you open the bleeder nipple. Let the fluid come out until you see no more bubbles coming out, only fluid.
2stp - assuming you have already primed the pump- with the nipple open, you place your pump hose right under the lip of the nipple, as you squeeze the pump, you fit the hose on the nipple.
3stp
Now to pump, I highly recomend you to face the pump up side down. This will avoid any possibility of air injection, because the bubbles will be trapped inside the highest point of the piston chamber, away from the injection nozzle. As you stroke, try to be smoth and constant. Fluid agitation can creat bubbles. Be slow and smoth specially when you're about to release the trigger, a rapid retraction will cause air bubbles to be generated due to low pressure spot.
4 stp. After you've done your few pumps, before closing it, remove the line and allow the bleeder to leak fluid out until you see no bubbles coming out (which you shall not see any).
Maintainance:
As you fell the trigger is getting heavy or stuck, remove barrel, lube o'ring and the white cloth ring with silicone paste, assemble back. If you're using the pre-filter, also use compressed air to clean the filter.
These steps will guarantee your tool to keep working as inteded. If you don't wamt this kind of obligation, then I would not recomend for you.
Hope this helps everyone.
