Value and durability are certainly there. This is top quality cable. As for "Ease of Use", well, it's as easy to use as any other cable of this type. Being bulk cable, you have to install your own terminations, of course. I'm pretty slow at terminating Ethernet, but I have the tools (RJ45 crimper, ect). It tough on arthritic fingers to straighten the conductors and untwist them, wish there was a tool for that. But this cable is no more trouble to do that than other brands. I've used this brand before - this is a re-order. I'll continue to use this cable in the future.
I use Platinum tools ez connectors and I had no issues.
On the same job I used some other manufacturers wire with barely-visible color coding, making punch down connections in dim light a royal pain.
This stuff is very easy to see.which wires are which.
Other than the insulation coloration issue, this cable is easy enough to work with. It comes out of the carton smoothly and the remaining-length and rating markings are easy to read. I can't really comment on the long-life durability, as I've just installed the cable for the first time. Check back with me in 20 years or so. However, for the short term, I had no issues with the jacket abrading or splitting or the conductors breaking unexpectedly during the installation process.
As stated, when I first stripped the outer jacket off the end of this cable, I thought it was defective and posted an inquiry about the "bare" wires in the Amazon product questions section. Unfortunately there is a fairly short character limit when typing in the question, and no way at all to respond to questions that were asked as part of the responses to my question, or even a way to post a follow-up "answer" to my own question. So I apologize to the TrueCable and other responders for not being able to provide clarification or a correction to my inquiry. It wasn't until after I read some replies that indicated that insulation might be fooling me that I decided to get my multi-meter out and prove that the "bare" wires could be shorted together. Much to my surprise, I found they could NOT be shorted, and that there was, in fact, a layer of near invisible insulation on the conductors!

We actually run 2 Networks in tandem, the Primary LAN to WAN (Synology Router) and our BlackMagic Video Switch LAN Segment (Rackmont Router). Our BlackMagic gear is kept separate to minimize Network Traffic interference from other Network Devices.
In the past, wiring CAT5 was OK. We still run CAT5 for the Land Line Phones. We needed to look ahead though for the Network, just short of Fiber, and get ourselves set for better media management. All of our patch cables are CAT6. Therefor, time to run and hard wire CAT6. What we like:
1.) This is all copper. Not Copper clad aluminum. Stay away from that.
2.) The amount - 500 feet is a lot of cable but doable. Whereas 1,000 feet of cable... Last time we ran cables it was CAT5 from a 1,000 foot roll mostly for Phones. And we ran a lot of Cable. Still have maybe half a roll.
3.) On a Spool - Easy to install. And manageable. Easy to store on shelf until more is required.
You know when You're handling CAT6. Since it's solid wire, heavier gauge and stiffer. CAT5 is good to 350MHz whereas this CAT6 should be good to 550MHz - a higher attenuation cable. Better would be 750MHz for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. This will do. We're replacing a CAT5 Cable run along the wall, up and down the stairs, draped over doorways. Not bad for a 10 year temporary solution. This will enable a cleaner, more permanent installation. And a shorter run. We plan on using punch down blocks (Cable Matters Cat6 RJ45 Keystone Jack and Keystone Punch-Down Stand) to keep it simple and secure. We hope this helps anyone else thinking about running CAT6 Network Cables. This should be a Bang for the Buck Solution!
BTW: We're running 2 lines while in the Cable running process, just in case. Networking is always a growing prospect.
