I opted for the genuine Samsung original replacement part, which cost a few bucks more, but assured me of proper fitment. I feel that it was money well spent. I could have saved a little, but didn’t want to take a chance on spending the time to replace it with an aftermarket part which might have given me fitment issues, especially given the fact that the entire washer and drum has to be disassembled in order to replace the flange shaft (spyder) assembly.
Two things to note – First, keep in mind that this replacement assembly DOES NOT include the 6 specialty bolts needed for reassembly, so if you break any during disassembly, you will need to order separately (and yes, I broke 2 out of 6, so I replaced all 6). Second, check the front drum seal before re-assembly. It might be damaged from the drum spinning with a broken spyder.
The part arrived quickly and well packaged. It fit well, the washer back together no problem and has been running fine for the past few weeks. I hope this helps someone.

Part came well packed in original custom packaging and then boxed in a larger shipping box.
Looked just like the original. Only difference was a rubber o-ring around the shaft that sits on the larger bearing. There was no spring washer or anything on the original that as removed.
Get new bolts. 50% of the original bolts sheared off during removal and the others were in bad shape.
Repair is fairly simple if you are not replacing the bearings. Just time consuming.
I would Recommend replacing the shaft seal, mine was in good shape but was very dirty on the washer side. New seal and you don't have to worry about damaging it or cleaning it.
I replaced the bearings since I had them and I though I felt some small imperfections in the larger bearing. Had to beat the heck out of the bearings to get them out and back in. Not too bad but destroyed the first bearing taking it out. I made a custom punch from a steel doll with a grinder for the larger bearing. Then found a pvc fitting to drive the new bearing back in.
Tub gasket looked good but replaced it anyway. I would have needed to take out the original anyway to clean out the debris that got in during the removal but it probably would have been fine to reuse.
The original spider arm was all gunked up and starting to loose small pieces. It was cracked slightly and bent so the drum was out of round and vibrating excessively even when empty. Replaced, and all is well again. Will now spin up to full speed again without vibrating stuff off the washer.
