Great Price, but low quality

Great Price, but low quality
I was looking for a garage steel cabinet to store various products such as Insect Replant, Back Yard Mosquito sprays, Weed Killer, Some Spray Paint, Windshield washer, etc.I do want to say this is a fair price for this cabinet. I was hopeful for a better quality product, but I got what I paid for and it will suffice. But that word says it all.If you are looking for a low cost option, this is it. Sturdy enough, but not what you want if you are looking for a high quality long term storage option.Almost NO screws to hold this together, everything is a slot/tab/groove that parts slide into and you tap down with a hammer to make it hold together.Would I buy this again? Probably not.Did I return it? NO, again fair price for what I got.See the pictures: cabinet was slightly damaged during transport, if I dont hold the bottom of the right door closed with my foot when closing the door and twisting the door handle to lock it the bottom does not close properly.

First off, these cabinets ARE NOT heavy duty, but they are better than most plastic or particle board cabinets. At fist I was a bit apprehensive about the sturdiness because disassembled, you can bend the sheet metal by hand but it's very sturdy once assembled. I bought these for extra storage space for thing I have around the house. Each shelf will hold 100-150 lbs easily.

Shipping
I ordered 2 of them and both came without any damages.

Assembly
When I started to assemble the first one, I questioned the integrity of the steel they used because the back of the cabinet could easily fold in half before putting it together, however, after putting the entire thing together it was fairly sturdy. Following just the pictures and some very light reading of the assembly instructions - the first one took me a little less than an hour. Second one took me about 20 minutes. The longest part is adjusting the shelf position to the height you want.

Overall, this cabinet is working out great for the price. If you are not storing more than 150 pounds per shelf and don't need anything super stylish, then I highly recommend this cabinet.

Cabinet was purchase to put craft and office supplies in. When it arrived the box was torn and beat up. I thought at first it had been opened, but it had not. It is not easy to assemble as each piece has a tab and is slotted into another piece and requires more than one person to put it together. You have to be very careful that the pieces don't bend as they are built very flimsy. There were several pieces that had dents and dings on them. I had read the reviews before purchasing this cabinet and saw several of the same complaints, however I thought I would take a chance! Everything others said is completely true! Once assembled we moved it to the spot we were going to place it and as careful as we were the back panels came out of the slots. It is definitely not worth the price it cost. I have a Sandusky cabinet almost identical to this one that I've had many years and the quality of the one I have and this one is no where the same.

Disregard other poor reviews -The instructions clearly state that for this model the 2 back peices bend very easily and to be careful but its packed well and most likely wont damage during shipping. While constructing it you'll think no way will this stay together and hold the weight its rated for but once it put together it really is sturdy, it may be off center a little bit but overall I really like it and the shelves can easily hold a lot of weight. Also looks really professional.
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2017
Despite all the negative reviews on this product, it's actually really great in my eyes. I put it together in approx. 25 minutes and I'm terrible at putting things together, so if I can do it, a bird should be able to do it (because I am not very good at assembling things whatsoever). Before you crucify me, hear me out on my pointers below:

BEFORE ASSEMBLY

-You need TWO PEOPLE to assemble this. Doing so by yourself will my EXTREMELY difficult. I have my husband support some of the pieces while I assembled.
-You MUST use a rubber hammer. If you use a real hammer, you'll damage the item. If you don't have one, get one. They're very inexpensive.
-You MUST assemble the cabinet in the area where you plan to us it. If not, and you try to move it, you'll risk parts coming undone (more about that later)

WHILE ASSEMBLING

-Lay item flat when assembling as directions state. When it's completely assembled, two people can easily lift this and move it a short distance to where it needs to be placed.
-Use rubber hammer! It is your friend! It well help you slide the pieces with the metal tabs together much easier.
-Put in shelves while unit is still flat on the floor. It's way easier, trust me.

Again, when completed, have two people stand this upright and move into desires space. However, I would NOT recommend moving a long distance. My husband and I assembled in our family room upstairs, then tried to move this into our basement. Long story short, the bottom fell out along with the shelves because we titled it way too far. So, again, ASSEMBLE IN AREA YOU WISH TO USE!!! :) :) :)

Many people complained this item was "flimsy." I disagree. Many of the parts may seem flimsy, but if they were made of thicker metal, you'd have a much harder time getting it together and lifting it. If you need something thicker, spend the money on it; don't try to cheap out on this unit because you'll be disappointed. When the unit is put together, it's very sturdy. I have about 165 lbs worth of stuff on each side, and the thing doesn't move and the shelves don't seem weak whatsoever.

As far as dents, I had one small one on the side panel. I can't help but think that in many cases, people are going to dent this anyway while using. A small dent might not look nice if you're trying to use this in your living room (why you'd want to, who knows, but to each their own), but a small dent doesn't take away functionality.

Lastly, as with all cabinets and dresses, consider anchoring this item to the wall in your live in a home with children. Better to be safe than sorry. It does not seem like it will tip over with the amount of weight I have in it, but you never know.

Overall, I'm very happy with this cabinet, and intend to buy more of them in the future.
