The non-skid backing is really good and doesn't slide around on a desk mat like some. It doesn'T budge, which is what you want, and feels nice for typing and keeping your hands steady.

Something simple like a wrist rest usually come in a thin and generic package. SubZERO breaks the mold by shipping it to you in a box that's strong enough to protect even a keyboard from the harshest shipping handlers. Others have said it feels slightly tall and that's true. It comes up just a bit shy of my spacebar but has a shape that accommodates pressing the lower keys with no issues. Where most will see this as a downside especially considering almost no other gaming keyboards have a rest that's this high let me tell you some of the benefits of having a pad that's this high. First off your hands and wrist are almost parallel with the board itself. It's far more natural and comfortable than having your hands angled upwards. Secondly reaching your F1-F4 is insanely easier and the same goes for reaching for number keys in games. Gamers who use CTRL regularly will most likely have a short adapting period to the difference in angle but if you have light switches on your board you should be able to overcome it easily.
The stitching is high quality and the material feels great. Upon close examination this pad doesn't have a single thread out of place. It's shape and quality just screams perfection. There is one downside and I'm not even gonna consider deducting a star for it. The logo is like a rubberized stamp that's right under your right hand if both your hands are on home row while typing. You can't actually feel it but I'd rather have see it off to the right in the ten key area. Also it comes with a little sticker that has their logo with "SubZERO Gaming" in text below it. About 2x2 inches in size. I also forgot to mention that it's not a flimsy snake pad either. It has a board under the cushion and you can let half of it hang off you desk and it won't even lean downwards at all. It's hard to get excited about something as trivial as a wrist rest but I'm telling you now. This is the product that makes you look at at high end mechanical boards like the K70 and scoff at the stock wrist pad.
I'm using a Logitech G610 Orion Red with this pad for whoever may want to know.
I used to have one of those "gel" style wrist rests and that style is softer. So the Subzero is much lighter in weight and the material is quite a bit firmer than the gel style.
One thing to note is that the material does not bounce back like the gel rests do. I made the mistake of resting my elbow on this wrist rest while leaning forward to read something on the screen. The indentation left by my elbow never did completely recover, so there is still a "pit" in my wrist rest :( That is really the only negative. I hope this helps!
To be honest, I don't completely understand the other reviews since they seem completely unreasonable and inaccurate. From my personal experience you should experience:
1.) No Slipping: Thanks to the rubber base it's highly unlikely (almost impossible) for it to move when you're typing.
2.) Smooth: You won't have to worry about any strain and stress since whatever material they used definitely delivers you a snug, pleasant experience.
3.) Fast Delivery: You won't have to impatiently tap your foot forever since I ordered on Friday and it arrived today, two days later. It came neatly packaged and has an ultra-neat design.
4.) Best One Available: I understand that you have other options available but you shouldn't regret your quick purchase since your simple pad delivers a ton of benefits for a good price.
At the end of the day, sure, you can whip out your $10 for a cheaper alternative, but remember that cheaper won't always guarantee you value. That being said, I'm off to finish my other school projects, with this pad included, since it's soooooo cozy and useful.
You should go get yours today since you won't regret it.
P.S.
The only downside is that the design is a bit too simple since I personally like more creativity to be involved. Still really neat, but it could better.
Regardless, since it's only a personal, subjective opinion I'll still give you guys a 5-Star rating. Good Job.
