It says this on the Amazon page: "User programmable with provided step-by-step instructions" but when you receive the item it says that it must be programmed by a locksmith. I called a local locksmith and they said that they would charge me between $85 and $120 to program it depending on how long it took them.
I went on Youtube and watched a video, and it took me about 2 minutes to do it myself. They work great, just a little misleading. Simple to do it yourself.
