Customer reviews
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Customers are mixed about the performance of the fan. Some mention that it works pretty well, gets the job done just fine, and is affordable. It works well as an exchanger in a cycle timer, and for constant input or exhaust flow. However, others say that it has very little power, is quiet, and doesn't work well with third-party variable fans.

Customers are mixed about the durability of the fan. Some mention it has quality construction, good bearings, and is strong enough. Others say that it completely falls apart and fails completely. The case splits apart pretty easily, and the blade broke in half.

Customers are mixed about the air flow of the fan. Some mention it has really good airflow, is really quiet, and the bearing is smooth. They say it pulls a lot more air through the enclosure than the built-in fan, and circulates tent air very nicely. However, others say that the airflow wasn't good at all, and barely moves any air.
"This works great and moves a decent amount of air!..." Read more
"...*only* reason I'm marking this fan down is the pressure sensitivity really needs to be mentioned for those using these for temperature control...." Read more

"Low static pressure. Fairly quiet.I bought this to replace an older 4" vivosun centrifugal fan I've had for several years that got too loud...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the suction of the fan. Some mention it does a good job of suctioning out fumes and expelling them through a vent pipe and out of the enclosure. However, others say that they didn't get sufficient suction with the 4" carbon filter.
"...It does a good job of removing the smoke, just need to work on sealing the enclosure a little more to increase the effectiveness." Read more
"...Because the housing is small, coupled with the fact that it has really good suction, it's pretty loud...." Read more
"...-90.. The humidity would just swirl around the bottom, and not be sucked up to the top like it should... I trouble-shooted, and it's the fan...." Read more
"Quiter than the machine it is attached to. Evacuates smoke quite efficiently." Read more
Customers are mixed about the fit of the fan. Some mention it was the perfect size for their dad's 2x4 grow tent and quiet enough to move the smoke from a 3" PVC system. However, others say that it didn't fit all that tight, the front cover on because it didn’t fit snugly, and the housing is small.
"...is that the connections are closer to 3 3/4” which means the 4” pipe doesn’t fit snug...." Read more
"...It's moderately quiet, and effective for very small spaces, but has very little power, if you want to use a filter with it, it needs to be low..." Read more
"...Because the housing is small, coupled with the fact that it has really good suction, it's pretty loud...." Read more

It’s much quieter than other inline fans I have tried, I used this one for a few months as a daily driver without issue. The cord is approximately 6’ long and works well with most tent setups. I have since upgraded to the app controlled fans and lights from vivosun.
If you happen to have any issues.. Customer service is always great with this company as well!

In the summer, I want to expel this heat so I can stand to be in there, gaming. Trying to get the right CFM to noise ratio can be difficult in a computer environment, in a small room. Mainly home based. This extractor from VivoSun is a great one.
It's not quiet, & sometimes I can't wait to turn it off, but it pulls out the heat like I want it to, well, enough to keep the temps nice. Generally, the CPU's radiator will get up to about 107°F-113°F (42-45°C ) with this 195 CFM fan bringing it to (32°C-37°C) 89.6°F-98.6°F & it's pulling most of that heat out the window.
I included a snap of some general video editing temps with out the VivoSun, & the bottom one is after it got going. The temps dropped in about a minute, which is super fast! When I "forget" to turn it on, & the computer gets up to about 45°C, it takes the exhaust about eight odd minutes to bring it down to 35°C & about a full 10 minutes to level off at 33°F.
So that's not bad really. I have tried a small CFM unit (106 CFM), but the pull just wasn't there. I have included a video so you can hear how it sounds. Of course, it's muffled a bit, being I captured it from my phone, & recordings always sound different than your ear. If I can, I'll try to include a video of the room's cooling turbo fan so you can hear them both.
Not bad, but not whisper quiet. They don't claim to be, either, so nothing on them. If I bring the tower down to the floor, or move it away, that will change things a whole bunch.
If you're thinking about adding an external cooler to your gaming/video unit, I strongly suggest VivoSun. The product works great, & they are on top of any blips you may have. In fact, they helped me upgrade to this unit with a matter of an e-mail. That's AWESOMENESS to the 10th!
Now I don't have to "worry" about leaving the computer on for a bit while I'm in the middle of a game, or when I step away for a moment. I know that this exhaust fan is going to keep the system cool.
Bottom line, this exhaust fan works very well sealed to my tower's top fan port. So much that I will be adding a smaller one to my 3D printer to better help regulate the temps in that case.
I did need to purchase dryer duct (hose), & a 4" inlet pipe. The aluminum tape & clamps came with the dryer ducting. I used some sticky sound dampening on the I/O exit panel to better direct the air flow being pulled up & out.
Also, it has holes in the "feet" for more secure mounting. I just hot glued it.

This was the last time though. Luckily this happened right around Black Friday/Cyber Weekend so I’m getting a new AC infinity at a discount. I already have 2 other AC infinity fans and they’ve lasted much much longer with no problems. So I’m here to tell you, it’s just better economically to get the higher quality fan in the first place and skip this cheap one. It’s not made for long term use.
