This has no electronics in it like some of the shmancy controls that utilize some form of receiver at the fan. It is dirt-simple and works just fine for me. The sliders are a little stubborn on some of these, but not a huge deal unless your fingers lack bones. Some people are just wimps and like to complain. Ooh, it's HARD to push this little plastic nubby light switch, somebody call the waaaahmbulance! Boo hoo.
1. The detent or clicks are really hard to slide past makes it hard to work and feels cheap
2. For some reason when you move the fan up one click that is max. speed and slows as you move up, seems opposite of the way it should be
3. The dimmer makes my arc fault breaker hum in the breaker box

Doesn't fun the led bulbs too much, but that could be the bulbs.
The only thing I notice is the slide switch for the light is the higher you move up the brighter it gets but for the fan is the opposite it starts at the bottom on high and the farther up you go the slower it goes
