Used on these two Laura Heine quilt pattern in photos above. When quilting small pieces or when playing around with placement this is so easy to work with. I would try the border flowers in different configurations, snap a photo and continue to adjust. Ultimately when ready I peel back the second adhesive sticky side and use a steam iron to “set” each piece. The roll is sent in a convenient box and the width of 18” is great for 1/2 yard cuts when using. It is pricey so I won’t recommend for large pieces since you could easily and cheaply sew or even attach to foundation material with spray on adhesive. Go play with this stuff you will discover new and colorful ideas for quilting.

Although I hate to spend the money all at once, overall it's cheaper to get the big roll. Just have to remember to keep it wrapped in plastic to protect the quality of adhesion. I do quite a few art quilts and use Steam a Seam lite for all of them.
If I'd bought this in smaller quantities, the final cost would have been vastly more than getting it in a huge roll. I flinched at the price until I figured out the price per foot. Then I was sold! If you do a lot of applique, as I do, you'll be glad you bought it in the roll form.
It is perfect for keeping appliqué pieces while quilting in place so you can see them on without pinning. Your appliqué piece can be moved to the perfect position as long as you don’t heat it in place.
Not sure where this roll has been sitting but it definitely not like the steam-a-seam I have used before. The sticky side does not completely separate from the other side so both sides are sticky and gritty. Nor is it sticking to my project after ironing. I thought maybe it was just the outer layer but I am a couple yards in and it seems to be getting worse. Will definitely be contacting the company for a new roll or a refund.
