Litter Made Easy
Each complete Breeze Litter System provides simple odor control. Anti-tracking pellets repel urine and keep the box dry, keeping solids on top—no digging for “treasure”. Urine passes through the grated tray to be locked away in the super absorbent pad below. The removable drawer allows for no-touch pad changes. Just replace the mess-minimizing pellets monthly, and the ammonia-locking pads weekly.

Directions
Transitioning Your Cats Successfully 1. Set up your new BREEZE Litter System next to your current litter box. If you don't currently use a litter box with high sides or a top, remove the BREEZE sidewall for now. 2. Move some clumps and solid waste from your current box to the clean BREEZE system. This will help your cats recognize their new bathroom. Once they start using the BREEZE box, you can remove the clumps and solid waste. 3. Stop cleaning the old litter box. Cats like clean, so make the new BREEZE box the most appealing option by not scooping the old box. Sounds gross, but this step is key to a successful transition. 4. Toss out that old box completely once your cats have started using the BREEZE system for all of their potty needs. Expert Tips Be patient. BREEZE Litter System is very different from traditional litter boxes, and some cats may take longer than others to make the switch. • Don't force your cats into the BREEZE box as this could frighten them. Let them explore on their own. It's important they make the choice to use it. • Set up BREEZE right beside their previous box. Putting it in the same location helps minimize the change your cats are experiencing. • Give your cats space. Let them explore the new box on their own. Even cats prefer a little privacy when they are doing their business! Animal behaviorists recommend multiple cat households have multiple litter boxes: one system per cat, plus one additional system (2 cats = 3 litter systems). Simple Setup and Maintenance 1. Snap the sidewall onto the grated base. 2. Place a cat pad (soft side up) in the BREEZE litter system drawer and side into the base 3. Fill the top portion of the box with one package of litter pellets. 4. Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. Note: Pellets do not clump. 5. Add more pellets as needed. We recommend that you replace the pellets completely once a month. 6. Slide drawer out to replace disposable pad. Drawer can be rotated without touching the pad to extend pad life.

I started with 2 cats. Now I only have one.
Comments: 1. Ease of use -But I don't like the scoop. use a pair of tongs or just a bag over my hand to scoop out solids
2. Use 2 packs of pellets in my box and it lasts about 2-3 months. I found that my cats liked to dig, and one pack was not enough. Adding the second gave them digging room. found that if I left the poop for a few hours-or even a couple of days, so that it dried out, the pellets did not stick. So I don't loose that many pellets. A few get tracked, but not enough to worry about.
I smooth over the pellets when cleaning out the solids so that it is level. This seems to help with any odor problem.
3. Odor is reduced significantly over regular box. But I live in a small apartment, have only one box. I never seemed to need 2+ because I had more than one cat. For me that was just too expensive. Now one cat one box--but still 2 packages of litter. I have added a bag of volcanic pellet rocks to the pet area to help remove stray odors--this solved the last of the odor problem (available in camping stores, on amazon, etc. )
4. I have looked at overall cost. Tried to get into toilet training my cat--too hard to toilet train me! and that was actually at least as expensive as this system because of the fancy cat food cost. As with other viewers, this is not any more expensive than the others overall. The difficulty is coming up with much larger lump sum outlay every few months. Amazons' 6 pack pellets last me about a year! with one cat I change pads about every 2 weeks. I have used dog pads in the system--my income is getting smaller like so many these days--they do work, but don't have the nice ingredients that the System pads have. I use less of the system in the summer because the cat is outside a lot of the time.
5. I completely clean the whole box system when I change pellets. It does have old pee on it. so I wash the whole box with a little bleach and dish soap then let it dry for a couple of hours before putting it back together. This also helps with any underlying or vague odor problem.
I am a very happy camper with this system. I wish that I could have toilet trained my cat--much better all around I guess. But so little litter and waste as compared to the other litters. I do not seem to have any of the issues mentioned here that other owners have. My cat(s) took to the box from day 1. Just didn't give them a choice. The extra bag of pellets really helped. I don't have issues with loose stool or large living area or cats that don't get along (even when I had 2 of them). So I can't speak to any of those problems. I can't get down to the floor to clean the box, so it is up at about thigh height, cat jumps up, does his business and leaves a clean area. Very Nice.
You'll think, "wow this seems high for cat litter & you'll google & you'll see some things & think yeah that could work for less" you actually won't... this is what works best...
I love the Breeze because it is very easy, low maintenance, and has excellent odor control. The only negative is the maintenance cost, but I figured out the usage for my household and it's virtually the same cost as the Scoop Free system. It is not an economical system compared to scoopable litter, clay litter, or all natural litter alternatives. You are paying for convenience and the neatness. It's really mess-free and I never have to touch the pad, just dump the tray into the trash.
I'm confused by some of the poor reviews because it really is a simple system. Honestly, you'd have to be really drunk or half brain dead to screw it up. It has to be used as a complete system. It doesn't work if you try to not use the pads or take some other random cost-cutting measure. I cannot figure out how the urine pan could leak at all if you are using the pad (right side up with the green plastic side down and the absorbant white side up) and you are changing it when it becomes full. It functions like a diaper, once the absorbancy has been exhausted, that's it. You get longer life/better absorbancy if you rotate the tray since cats tend to pee in the same area of the box every time. If you have multiple cats and one box, or a large cat that pees a lot, you may need to change your pad more often, but that's specific to your cat. If you are using the box properly with any amount of common sense applied, it will not leak.
The bag of pellets is sparse, but that's because it is just supposed to let the urine pass through and give your cat a comfortable environment to allow burying. The pellets are not meant to absorb the urine, or stick to the poop. They do recommend that you completely change the pellets every month, so you don't really want to put in more than you need for your cat's comfort. Both my cats are quite content with one pack. There is no tracking with these pellets, I rarely find more than two or three pellets on the floor near the box. I do not find that the pellets remove any odor from the solid waste. I do notice an odor right after my cat has a bowel movement, or if the box is left longer than day without scooping out the solid waste. I scoop daily into a litter locker and have no odor in the general areas of the box (unless there is something very fresh). My pads last a full week, I do have to rotate them once. I have never smelt urine from this box.
I do want to point out that because we have two cats and three levels of the house we did add additional boxes per the mfg recommendation (which I thought was crazy initially), however, it really did improve my cats' litter habits. One cat was using alternative (and undesirable) areas to relieve herself (like my suitcase, laundry basket, etc.) Once I put in multiple boxes, that behavior completely stopped.
We have three boxes for the two cats, one at each level: basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor. The pads generally last at least a week for all boxes, occasionally one box will be used less and a pad will last two weeks. The pellets are still odor free after 6 weeks. I agree that the refill costs are high, but as I said, comparable with the ScoopFree system, but this was actually cleaner and easier given the unique habits of my cats. For me, the cost is worth the ease, convenience and general cleanliness of the system.
Top reviews from other countries
It's literally the best litter system there is, especially if you only own 1 cat. I have 2 kitties now and yes it's a big outlay to buy in bulk and buy the pads, which Amazon basics sell here, 40 for £15. But, it's so easy to clean. The cats dont have to stand in or rake their own pee anymore. There is no tracking whatsoever. It's so nice not to find litter chunks in my bed or a guest steps on some. The pellets stay in the box!! Plus you can wash them, recharge them in plain salt water and let them dry. I've never done this but it's possible.
Anyway, I definitely recommend the Purina breeze system, aslong as they keep selling bargain bulk like this!
Don't flush them down the toilet!!! My cat sitter did this one time and blocked my pipes!! They don't dissolve of course!
