Product Description

Monkeys can’t stop jumping and kids can’t stop popping! Poke the irresistible click-to-count buttons to hear satisfying “clicks” and “pops” as you count all the little monkeys! This sturdy 20-page interactive board book invites kids to pop along as they count all the little monkeys jumping on—and falling off—the bed! Poke-a-Dot® books help encourage language development, counting, and fine motor skills. Patented Pop-a-Tronic™ technology lets kids discover different popping sounds by poking the dots from the front or the back, with pages raised or flat! For more than 30 years, Melissa & Doug has created beautifully designed imagination- and creativity-sparking products that NBC News called “the gold standard in early childhood play.” Today, Melissa & Doug is proudly partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics to foster early brain development and help children build important life skills through play.

    Not for unsupervised toddlers
There were so many of these cute books to choose from. I decided on 10 Little Monkeys to help with counting. It does start with 10 and works down to one. For counting purposes they do not all climb back into bed… It just ends with one falling off.On the top right corner is the number so they can both see and hear it.I agree that this book will not be durable for little kids to read by themselves. I love books so our books are not toys. My 2yr old has a few board books that he can read by himself that are slowly getting ruined. But the rest we read together or supervised. We bought this book for $12.99. I would not pay any more for it, due to the fact that it would not last long unsupervised with toddlers.I do believe it is durable enough to survive a five year old and up (Who understands how to take care of Books )The binding is not connected to the back so it can move easily without breaking the binding, and the pages are cardboard thick. We will likely buy another one.
