Pros of the set: the pins are beveled on both top and bottom which helps guard against lock picking.
Drawbacks: it's a sizeable kit that comes in a series of plastic bags so it's not super neatly organized. It's a LOT of pins, more than what you would need unless you're an actual lock smith. The sizing key is strangely labeled and doesn't correlate to the pin sizes at all. I found it easer to just guess the pins than size my key.
Some of my locks had tapered cylinders that made putting them back in to the housing difficult; the upper pins could slide down and get stuck in the tapered indent. I ended up using a shim (piece of thin sturdy plastic cut to size or you can buy them or cut open the security device on the inside of DVD cases for some) to help slide the cylinder into the housing by placing it on top of the follower and cylinder to cover the gap created by the taper. I left it long enough to pull out after the cylinder was mostly in the housing.
Outside my own fumbling, the process was easy and the kit included links to a helpful video and rekeying manual. Plus this was significantly cheaper than buying all new locks or paying someone to rekey them!
