I have an 05. I installed LEDs, which were a decent upgrade. However, I got tired of the crappy beam pattern, so I got these projectors. My experience has been a bit of a mixed bag, but overall they've been great.Lets start with the beam pattern. Assuming your bulbs are in correctly (more on that in a second), you'll get an excellent beam pattern. They are much wider and throw a good amount of light to the sides, and they illuminate at least twice as far as a standard halogen in a reflector (probably more). Compare it to a standard halogen, where the beam is very narrow. This is done to focus most of the light to the front. Despite this, the projector far outshines any stock setup, and most OEM projectors too. They also have a sharp cutoff with some color. It could use more color, but it's not bad. Same can be said about cutoff; It is good, but there's room for improvement. Something I don't like very much is all the foreground lighting. I'd like it if there were much less of it, so I can decide if I want foreground lighting or not with my fog lights. Some people say that foreground lighting limits your ability to see into the distance, and I partially agree. with that said, I can see much further with these, despite having all the foreground lighting + fog lights.Lets talk about a big annoyance: the bulb holders.I simply cannot overstate how ridiculously important it is that the bulb sits just right in the projector. If it's tilted in any direction, even just a little bit, then the beam will not look right, and likely won't illuminate right either. That hotspot I was talking about is super important. Without it, you'll have a hard time seeing anything more than 100 feet away. They might perform WORSE than a standard halogen. Something you absolutely have to do is shim the bulbs. There's more info on forums and stuff, but basically you put small pieces of cardboard between the bulb base and the projector to adjust the bulb. You can see in one of the pictures (the one where one of the beams is a little higher than the other) the difference between a properly installed bulb and an improperly installed one. For the one on the left, I simply put the bulb in the projector. For the one on the right, I spent about 15 minutes shimming it. Notice how the left bulb has no hotspot. Also, the entire beam has this weird streaking, and the cutoff is all messed up. Not only does the beam on the right have the all-important hotspot, but the beam is overall brighter, has no streaking, and has a much better looking cutoff. It seems like the bulbs tilt upwards slightly, which hides the hotspot above the cutoff. I had to use 4 pieces of relatively thick cardboard to get the bulbs to sit right. I have to acknowledge that the H1 mounting system is not good, and I know that shimming is often necessary even in much more expensive projectors. However, this is simply bad design, since the bulbs shouldn't be that out of alignment.I don't want to discourage you; Shimming is not super difficult, and just because it has to be done on these projectors to a much greater extent doesn't mean that they're terrible and that you shouldn't buy them. If you do buy them, you basically MUST do this. I think its very likely that someone just buys these, never shims the bulbs, and just drives almost blind, not noticing since there is still a bunch of light directly in front and to the sides.Another thing that I don't like is the shroud. They are a bit small and don't look very good IMO, but they're not terrible. You can replace them anyways, so its not a big deal.Overall, these projectors work great if you're willing to spend the time getting the bulbs to sit just right. I'm very satisfied with them. I just wish they offered a smoother experience.

For less than 30$ this is a steal. I did another retrofit with morimoto mini h1 7.0 and while it definitely feels more solid, this projector kit is great and I'll likely buy another set to have on hand before prices go up. tested solenoid about 50x each projector with a 9v battery and some spare wire before installing.
shrouds screw in which is nice vs using jb weld and risking getting it all over everything.
Fits perfectly on 9th gen civics (and should fit any 9006 low beam) with no cutting needed. I used an innovited 55w kit,h1 5000k bulbs, and wiring harness that matched my car wiring (9006) , some high beam splitters, and some adapters for the solenoid(in order to use factory high beams along with projector high beams) and I'm happy with it so far. From baking open headlights to completing the retrofit it took me a total of 3 hours (i painted mine so i let them dry overnight before resealing them). Will update if any issues arise.
Hardest part was leveling the headlights. I made sure all tire pressure was good and car was level and used a brick wall to confirm them tightened down everything and sealed it up.
The low beams are great but having two sets of high beams per side is really the main reason I wanted to do this. Using lasfit 9005 high beam leds paired with the projector hi/low beams and its amazing how much you can see at night.
*update: swapped innovited bulbs for morimoto and they're much brighter and have more bluish color flicker. Also testing morimoto h1 bulb holders on these projectors and will update my findings.
Update. Morimoto bulb holders work great with this. Couple months in with 55 watt hid and no issues.

Reviewed in Canada on October 3, 2022
I installed these in my 2010 Xterra. They are absolutely fantastic for the money. The cutoff is very good with minimal chromatic aberration. The high beam motors are working well and there is plenty of light output. These are a massive upgrade to the stock headlights.

There were no fitment issues in my case as well and no shimming needed like some people noted. Install these straight and make sure they are level. You can use the stock headlights aiming screw for the rest.

Highly recommended. Hopefully they last a reasonable amount of time.
