Floorless DesignThe Rightline Gear Truck Tent features a floorless design that allows you to set up and take down the tent without removing your gear from the bed. It also prevents the tent from picking up the dirt and grime that may be on the truck bed. |
Protective Straps and BucklesThe soft polypropylene straps and plastic buckles won't damage the truck's finish. |
Color Coded Poles and Pole PocketsAll of the dome poles are marked with a colored tape that corresponds with its matching pole pocket. There is no guessing as to which pole goes where, so set up is quick and easy. |
Rainfly IncludedThe use of the rainfly is optional; you can easily add it, depending on weather conditions. Simply position the rainfly over the tent, connect the (3) buckles on each side of the tent and adjust the straps. Tie the (3) strings around the rear edge of the rainfly to the tent poles. Make sure the rainfly’s seams are lined up correctly with the poles and you're done! |
Choosing The Correct Size Truck Tent
Use our Truck Tent Sizing Guide (located under Product Guides and Documents) to find your truck’s year, make, and model. Then double check by measuring your truck bed by hand.
The measurement should be within a few inches of what is listed as the bed length. If your model truck is missing from the sizing guide, it means that there is not currently a tent to fit it.
To Measure Your Truck Bed By Hand
- Start with the tailgate up
- Measure from the edge of the bed nearest to the cab
- Extend the measuring tape until you reach the inside of the tailgate
- Make sure you take the measurement along the bottom of the bed, not the top
- Confirm with Truck Tent Sizing Guide Below.

I have a tonneau cover and this works just fine with that. I used it on a cold night and it worked great to keep me warm. I live in Southern California (in the middle of a drought) so haven’t had a chance to test in the rain but it looks like it would hold up just fine.
The install was pretty easy. I much prefer not set up tents in any form as they always are a pain no matter what configuration, but I can say for a “use a tent as a last resort” kind of guy, this tent passes my test as pretty easy to set up.
Setup might take a little practice, but it fits just about perfect on my 2015 Tacoma Long Bed. The poles are a little tricky to put in the tent, since the connectors have a little lip on them that more expensive poles don't (my only issue).
- When putting the poles in their pockets, they will likely seem too long -- try and slide the material over the poles and loosen up some of the buckles holding the tent to the truck until they are 2-3 inches too long, and don't have to force them in too much. It just takes a little care and patience, but this is the case with more expensive tents too.
- After all the poles are set, loosen the straps and shift the tent around on the truck until its centered and retighten. Pay attention to the orange straps inside the bed and balance the fit and tightness with the opposing strap that goes on the outside.
I can't say it will fit on all trucks as well as mine, but its pretty darn good.
