I bought this to use for recall training with my dog. It's great! With the right lanyard or necklace it's an interesting wearable piece as well that gets a lot of questions. It is quite loud and has a sharp tone, I would use this for emergency situations if they arose.

High-pitched whistle for such a small thing, seriously, it is smaller than a McDonalds french fry. But it does what it claims, and it is titanium with an aluminum internal part that makes the whistling sound. It looks like it will snap in half under pressure, but that would take a lot of pressure. This is Titanium we are talking about after all. It comes with a small key ring to put on a keychain. I wear it around my neck with my chain, no problems. As for the company, I have a Nitecore D4 rechargeable battery charger, and I know it is entirely different from this product, but it is the same company, I do have it, and it recharges batteries just as well as this whistle can whistle.

I wear a whistle daily. I got into this habit while logging. A whistle is used to signal go, stop, danger/emergency, and location. I wanted this one to replace my Fenix NW20 simply due to weight. The Fenix is 18 grams, and this is only 4 grams, plus it is titanium. It is a tiny piece, as is the fenix. I won't be wearing it though because it is just no nearly as loud. The Fenix, aside from sheer volume, is double pipes, and makes a warbling sound like a police whistle which makes it un-mistakable. So I docked it a star for volume as well as sharp edges. I would rather wear the extra 14 grams and have my whistle save my life a few times. The nitecore would be a great keychain piece, which is where mine will find its home.

It's small, it's loud, and it's titanium. Ok, yes it's loud and technically louder than the storm whistles you can hear underwater, but in the end the storm whistle is a better choice if you have room for it to be heard. The bead in it makes it a much more unnatural noise, and allows the human ear to pick up on it easier. That being said, it fits on a keychain wonderfully, the sound travels exceptionally well, and after about 3 weeks has yet to even have a scratch fumbling around in my pocket. As an EDC (every day carry for you non-preppers) it's perfect. Takes up almost no size (you really need to put it on a key chain or you will loose it) is loud, and will help you if you need it. I know it's expensive, but it is titanium, will last longer than you, and your paying the premium for size and connivence.
