This is a well-built shock mount that you can attach your microphone to. I attached my Blue Yeti Pro USB Condenser Microphone to it, and together the size and weight are a beast. Make sure you get a sturdy boom arm that can support at least 2.5 pounds, or it will droop. You can also attach this to a microphone stand as well.
Not only does this shock mount do what it promises, it looks beautiful as well. The design feels a little retro, but with future-forward materials. The rings are made of a nice matte metal material. The bungee strings provide proper tension that when you screw a microphone in there is hardly any bounce. The microphone screw screws in fittingly to my Yeti Pro, and will fit the regular Yeti as well.
Here are my weight measurements for reference:
14 oz/398 grams (Shock Mount)
1 lb 3.6 oz/556 grams (Yeti Pro)
2 lb 1.6 oz/954 grams total (Yeti Pro with Shock Mount)
If you want a quality (and pretty) shock mount, buy the Radius II. If you want to *look* professional, buy the Radius II. Recommended.
1) Do you have a yeti pro? If you do I'm thinking you won't have an issue with this, as all of the reviews I've seen that mention the pro have been good reviews. Mine fit GREAT, AND I have the pro version, which I got from amazon last week. ALSO amazon has a fast and free return / replacement policy so no worries. Granted RMAing something is troublesome sure, but just keep the box it came in. Easy
2) is your yeti regular version new? (IE within the last few weeks?) I think this issue is only for people with older yeti mics. Mine fit like a glove, and I have the pro version which I just got from amazon last week. I'm thinking that there was a bad batch of regular yetis that got past QA sometime in the past, and those are the people having issues.
As for the people that say this shock mount doesn't stay in place, I'd say you probably again, got an older version. As I've seen several reviews on YouTube and they had different hing barrings on different reviews. Mine thankfully is the newest design with an all metal construction and metal "teeth" which help lock the shock mount firmly in place.
Also there were people saying good luck holding a mic horizontally with this mount... All I have to say is look at the image attached. As mine is even angled up and its fine. Just for reference I'm using a RODE PSA1 for my arm... Great arm and great sturdy design.
So there you go, it does what it's supposed to do, and the mounting system is perfectly fine. Anyone who says otherwise should try and get their mics exchanged through blue for another one. Since Blue has already stated publicly that they are aware of the screw issue and that they are exchanging yeti mics to fix the issue. (Which leads me to believe its the mic itself)

I use it with the compass boom mount, and the original yeti pro microphone from Blue with XLR connectors. The shock mount has never failed me and works extremely well in almost all cases. This is after over a decade of use and moves to multiple studios.
Pros:
-Holds the Blue Yeti. This microphone is so heavy and uses the larger screw so it doesn't fit in a lot of cheap mounts, but this mount was made for the Yeti (literally).
-Does what it says on the tin. Well it comes in an easy-open clamshell, but still- it's a good shock mount, no complaints on function.
-Great materials. Like the Yeti itself, lots of quality metal. This will last.
-Multi-position locking hinge. The new hinge is a locking type, once you position the microphone and screw it down it isn't going anywhere.
Cons:
-Heavy. Like the Yeti, this is all made of heavy metal (joke not intentional). Cheaper microphone booms will probably fold under the combined assault, but so long as your mount can take the punishment, this is quality equipment.
-Huge. The mount is actually too big for the Yeti, it could stand to be smaller. I assume it's made so large to give it excellent dampening, but the unit is very big. Together, this makes the Yeti a little cumbersome for a desk, even though the result is so beautiful I don't mind.
So there it is. This shock mount is very heavy so you need to be careful how you rig it up, but otherwise, the quality is amazing- and the price isn't bad either! Go for it.
I have tried the original radius and didn't like it because it didn't fasten tight enough to hold in place. Well this has now been hooked up to my swivel mount for 3 months and hasn't budged. It's safe to say Blue fixed that issue.
It's kind of pricey compared to other shock mounts, but I can attest to this one working great and being durable. I haven't used other shock mounts so I can't compare the quality.
While I was recording the other week I dropped a water bottle onto my desk. When I went back to the recording other than the initial thud, you can't hear anything. That's all I ask for from a shock mount.

Materiale solido e massiccio, molto bello.
Consigliato!
