Customers like the quality, value, and ease of use of the electromechanical gauge. For example, they mention it works great, it's easy to assemble, and it helps save money on a mini-split installation. That said, some complain about the dyeing and fit. For instance, they say the blue dye on the case rubs off on their hands and the hoses are dyed strangely.

The gauges are in metric to which I’m not accustomed but zero is zero when evacuating an A/C system.
PROS:
-Nice connectors for your low and high side Shrader valves, aluminum knobs, clearly marked for Open and Close directions (not quite intuitive if you don't do this regulary, because "open" is clockwise which most people would guess is "closed", because you are depressing a Shrader valve)
-Witness window is nice on the middle hose / manifold body
-It does show negative pressure (but not a lot, see below)
-Heavy duty plastic storage case
-Worked well enough
CONS:
-ABSOLUTE DEAL BREAKER FOR ME: A very frustrating issue is the hose female connectors are 1/4" SAE, which is not nearly as common as the standard 1/2" ACME connection. I found this out the hard way, as I needed a can tap connector (didn't order) and anything local at auto shops, etc. are the 1/2" ACME. Even online, you have to really make sure you get the smaller 1/4" SAE size. NOT convenient.
-ALSO A DEAL BREAKER: The hoses are dyed strangely, in that color rubs off on your hands, even when not wet. It's almost like they were powder coated over the rubber, and the powder rubs off.
-While the gauges show "negative" pressure, it is such a small amount that you begin to question if there is a vacuum, but definitely wonder "how much" of a vacuum there is. Really want more distance/numbers on the negative side.
-The high and low pressure knobs on the manifold are rubber...I would "prefer" aluminum, but they may be because the manifold gets cold when R134a is running through it.
-High / Low manifold rubber knobs do not have "Open" and "Close" direction indicators, would be nice to have.
In summary...this works as advertised, so you will not be stranded. However, you must pay attention to any attachments you buy, to make sure they are 1/4" SAE versus the more common 1/2" ACME. And you better not be wearing any clothes you don't want ink/tint on, as the hoses bleed color onto your hands and anything they touch. If you are only doing this job once or twice, this is definitely a "budget" set of gauges. However, I personally would much rather have bought a better set, maybe $100-120...in the grand scheme of things, it would have been a superior set for only $50 or so dollars more with better components and performance.
ON EDIT: The blue paint rubbing off was actually from the box itself. Really nasty.
