    AC750 vs HOOTOO streaming media
    3 Stars
    AC750 vs HOOTOO streaming media
Ive Had a Few days to configure the settings and Use the Media Share features. I would not recommend it mainly for this purpose. I bought it for streaming movies and music from an external harddrive to tablets, phones etc. Due to the firmware i would say you are better off using the HOOTOO tripmate nano vs this for media streaming to portable devices. Its a bear to work with and the DLNA doesnt seem to work well. Most devices will not access the files thru DLNA (UPNP) for some reason or another, It shows up and sees it...but will not acess it. I found out why...to access the media to stream you need to use a program ( ES FILE EXPLORER PRO) via google play store, to use the Login feature via FTP to stream media. Only at that point is is able to stream media to your favorite player ( VLC is mine ). Example. Launching VLC and navigating to the NETWORK , it shows up in the Network menu as a media share , but when you click on the files to play with VLC or Androids Default VIDEO player it will not access the file, the loading icon just spins...So you have to use ES file Expl Pro to find the FTP server login using the Admin account then you will be able to play media files. VERY annoying. Secondly Do not unplug the Harddrive before ejecting it though the WEB interface. For some odd reason the firmware gets mad....and will not show the drive up again till you plug in another drive...yada yada yada...So if you want to stream movies, to your android devices, be warned there is a process. Login to web interface via IP adress, Then plug in hardrive then configure, when done log back into Web interface, EJECT drive...before powering down the UNIT. All that ontop of farting around with getting the DLNA to stream. What ever happend to plug n play? Anyway Everything else works fine...I like the fact it outputs 5ghz and 2.4ghz wifi. This would be fine ifyou are using a PC, but for tablets and such....theres a curve The Hootoo nano doesnt get mad at hot swapping hardrives or just powering down fast...and the DLNA streams perfectly on VLC without logging inAdded a picture of ac750 after i got it to stream using ES File Exploerer pro to play via VLC....

5.0 out of 5 stars Nano Signal
Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2019
I travel for work. So I am in hotels often.

I LOVE the ability to plug a gadget in, and point it to the access point, and have all my devices automatically connect up. This was necessary to satisfy the problem of Google chromecast, where it requires a phone to operate, and they must be on the same wifi network. (Most hotels isolate devices to keep guests secure from each other)

I bought the small nano first. And I later purchased the larger version (TL-WR902AC). So I will provide the pros and cons of each here.

Please also note that I am EXCLUSIVELY using this in hotels in wi-fi only (never plugged in the RJ-45 ethernet) as a wi-fi access point for all my tech, I've not used it for anything else. There are many other features and capabilities that are not accounted for here.

    Nano:
    + simple setup, great wizard.
    + SOOOOO tiny
+ Works great with Marriott/SPG hotels (and everywhere else I've tried it)
    - Struggles with multiple devices, the single band antenna seems to be a big restriction in speed and multiple devices.
    - Slow speeds

    Big brother (AC902 model)
+ Much cleaner and more stable connections - handles all my devices brilliantly.
+ Far more features (that I don't use)
+ Larger than the nano (picture for reference) but still so small that it's perfect for travel
    - Setup is not so streamlined. Additional hardware toggle on the device makes it more confusing. (I use the middle setting, "Share Hotspot")

    Side-notes:
I used this exclusively at a single hotel before upgrading, so the differences noticed between the two models were all at the same property.

Both devices get a bit warm, but nothing concerning, and it's not at all surprising given how tightly they are packing them.

Both are small enough that the only reason I would recommend the nano over the big brother is if you need something to fit in your pocket, or purse, and don't have high expectations in terms of speed.

Reviewed in India on March 13, 2020
My TV wifi streaming was not working properly as inbuilt wifi adapter only supports 2.4 ghz and my broadband provider was providing better speed at 5 ghz rather than 2.4 ghz. So had to find a adapter or router like this which can take in wifi signal and route it to LAN port. Came across this device and it works like a charm. Also this device supports many other functions like range extender, simple router, hotspot mode, etc.
