IDK what some are for, but I know which are which now!
A LOW SHANK machine is a machine in which the mechanism that holds the snap-on feature measures around 1/2" tall from the center of the screw to the plate when the foot is lowered.A SNAP ON machine is a machine which the feet just snap on and are removed with a small lever. Some machines you will need to buy and adaptor made specifically for your machine to convert it to use snap on feet.I googled these things before purchasing, yet see some people did not, so thought I would share here.I also googled, after receiving these feet, which is which. I have a 2nd hand machine that did not come with any accessories and have had to purchase small parts for it. I was once again shopping for feet after a zipper disaster. I was glad to find more feet than I would likely ever need in one package. The ones I have tried have worked just fine, though I did have to adjust stitch width to make a couple work, but they are certainly not incompatible. It is possible American machines may have a wider stitch range than machines made in other countries. Adjust or tighten your connection as needed. Those things do loosen when you keep messing with them.
