About this item
- This pump kit includes Aquatec pump 6840-2J03-B224 with heavy duty steel base plate with damper, PSW-240 pressure switch, transformer 110V USA plug, 1/4" inlet/outlet for pump and pressure switch, detail instruction
- This pump is designed to increase the water supply pressure to a RO water system. Increase input pressure from 30-40 psi to 60-80 psi depending on the capacity of your RO system. This pump is good for under 100 GPD (gallons per day) RO systems Most home drinking RO systems are under 100 GPD
- Automatic ON/OFF operation. The pressure switch would sense the pressure in the output line, so when the output line is shut off or the storage tank is full or reaches 40-50 psi, the pump would shut off, and then when you start using water and tank pressure drops, then the pump turns back ON to replenish the tank.
- This kit DOES NOT come with the optional (ESO) Electric-Shut-Off solenoid valve, so it would reply on your existing mechanical auto-shut-off valve in your RO system to turn off the water supply when the tank is full. For most systems this kit will work fine.
- This kit is NOT for misting, ice maker line, line boosting, water transfer. This pump kit is designed for increasing water supply pressure to a RO water system
- FAQ: If your RO system is not working, not able to make water, not able to turn on/off correctly, then this pump will NOT help. This pump is not able to fix a non-working RO
- FAQ: The pressure switch may need adjustment after install. If the pump does not shut off after the tank is full. That may indicated the mechanical shut off valve in your RO system is interfering with the pressure switch.
- FAQ: Please contact our tech support through Amazon messages if you have issues with the setup. It is impossible to have defective product.

Product Description
If your water supply is from a well or the water supply pressure is below 50 psi, then it is recommended that you add this pump kit to your RO system setup to increase the water supply pressure to 60 to 80 psi range to optimize the performance of your RO system. PLEASE MAKE SURE your RO system is in working condition, and it can make water and turn on/off correctly. If your RO system is not working correctly or not making water, then you need to fix the RO system and replace filters. This pump is not able to fix a non-working RO system. Quiet operation, 1 year factory warranty. Made in USA pump and pressure switch.

The pump comes with small rubber shock mounts, so a small washers and screws make it easy to mount on a vertical surface - just snug the screws gently so as not to over compress the rubber feet. When installing on a flat surface under a sink, no need to fasten it down.
RO's like water pressure above 60 psi to 75 or 80 psi (depending on mfg recommendation), our well pump puts out 60 max, so this works very well.

The actual booster pump worked well. My inlet water pressure was about 40 psi, and when running this pump brought it up to 100psi by default. I installed a guage inline with the pump's output, which is essential. This 100psi was higher than another pump I tried that brought it up to 80psi. I installed a second guage inline right before the tank. This is also essential and honestly the more useful of the guage locations. By default this one reads whatever the tank psi is adjusted to, probably about 7-8 psi steady. Running the booster pump brings this up until the pressure switch turns it off. The most common case is 40/20 where it turns off when it rises to 40 and on again when it falls back to 20. With the booster pump running it slowly rose from 7 psi to 40 psi. This process took about 1 hour, from a "full" 7 psi tank. If you were doing this from no water, obviously longer. The weight of the holding tank noticably increased as it went to 40psi, though I'm not sure how much more water it added. Compared to the other pump that increased inlet to only 80psi, it seemed to get up to 40psi faster.
The end result was the faucet flow rate noticably increased, significantly. It is faster when the level is at 40psi than at 20psi. And way better than the 7psi. Living alone, it takes about 2 days to drop from 40-20 psi, and the pump runs just 1hr. I'd rather it was a 30-40psi switch honestly. Or 30-50 I suppose, but I'm not sure if that would damage the tank bladder at that level.
Finally, the reason I actually ended up not using this pump was because it was noiser than the other non-adjustable pump I tried. This pump has 4 little rubber feet at the bottom. However it still made a distinct pumping noise when running while the other was near silent. Additionally, the 1/4" water hoses noticably vibrated with this pump, such that anywhere they touched the cabinet wall, tank or one another would make a major rattling noise. I kept trying to carefully place them, but it was never right. I wish this all wasn't the case. There were also no mounting screw locations on the pump if I wanted to try that.
One nice feature not mentioned in the listing is that the actual pump output pressure is adjustable. (The listing mentions that the pressure switch is adjustable, which is nice, but the pump output is also adjustable).
To adjust, you simply turn the 1/16" Allen screw on the top of the pump--right to increase the pressure, left to decrease. I have a pressure gauge right after the pump so I can adjust the pressure going into the RO system--my system is best around 60 - 70 PSI. (See pics)
