Product Description
Remember when you had a smooth cut with no tearout? The WEN 12-Inch Professional Fine-Finish Woodworking Saw Blade provides reliable and accurate performance, maintaining its straight shape and sharp edges for longer than the competition. The machine-cut carbide-tipped teeth slice through woods of any kind, making easy work out of pine, oak, poplar, cherry, maple, walnut, and more. The 1-inch arbor allows for compatibility with the majority of 12-inch miter saws, jobsite saws, and table saws on the market. Heat expansion slots help the blade expand and contract as needed to provide maximum accuracy across a wide range of cutting conditions. Our unique protective coating fights off potential damage caused by heat, rust, corrosion, gumming, resin, and more. This lightweight, ultra-thin blade provides maximum efficiency during operation, leaving behind a kerf a mere 1/10 of an inch wide (2.6 mm). It’s time to get reliable and powerful performance with a WEN Saw Blade. Remember when you had a blade that lasted? Remember WEN.
From the manufacturer
Remember WEN?
We've been designing and distributing high-quality and affordable power tools for decades. Founded by Nick Anton back in 1951, WEN originally made its mark by helping bring tools and electricity together (putting the power into power tools). Our research and development team played a vital role in helping to develop a variety of common everyday tools such as the chainsaw, the electric soldering gun, the electric jigsaw, the electric engraver, and the knife and wet wheel sharpeners. WEN even pioneered random orbital technology – the technology seen in most polishers, waxers, and buffers today that gives cars everywhere the streak-free shine they deserve.
Since then, our expertise has expanded to encompass a wide variety of products, including drill presses, lathes, bench grinders, nailers, miter saws, hand tools, generators, and cordless power tools, to name a few. By 2001, only 50 years after our humble beginnings, we had already sold over 50 million consumer units. By 2021, we had sold nearly 80 million. Today, WEN's headquarters can be found in West Dundee, Illinois. Our goal is to help woodworkers, DIYers, and artisans across the world execute their wildest imaginations.

I've owned really expensive blades, most notably Forrest along with "lesser" brands like Amana, Freud etc. Forrest is all marketing BS but that's a topic for a different review.
The only advantage to those high blades is you can get them sharpened a few times. But for $100 - $200 for the blades plus $25 to sharpen plus screwing around with the actual sharpening process, where is the advantage over a $25 blade that you can simply recycle and install a new one? And there is NO point to getting a $25 blade sharpened for $25.
I used this Wen blade to true up an end edge on the 16 inch wide x 1.25 inch thick granadillo live edge slab you see in the photo. Granadillo is a central American hardwood that has become a replacement for Brazilian Rosewood which became illegal to export about 25 years ago. It's tough stuff but I had no issues, no "magic smoke", and a clean edge cut, all good.
I've used this Wen blade to cut curly maple, rock maple, oak, the granadillo I just mentioned and to install 400 lineal feet of baseboard trim - both pine and ash. It cuts smoothly, leaves a nice finish, no burning, smoking, blade marks or other anomalies. Hope that helps!
