It works well and I'm very pleased with the ease of connection and sound quality.
Great buy for anyone wanting to add Blue-tooth connectivity to any device that doesn't already have it.
Same SoundCore Liberty 4 NC earbuds paired to my phone, in the same spot as my desktop computer (with the dongle), I can go anywhere in my house without a single hitch. But on the Edimax, the range is less than half before it starts breaking up or reverting to a horrible sound profile. It could just be the nature of trying to cram an effective antenna into a tiny USB dongle. So it might be the best that USB micro dongles can offer, but doesn't do what I wanted. So if you need good range, please keep this in mind. If you are going to be 35 feet with no walls from your computer, or maybe 25 with a single drywall wall in the way, it might be fine for you.
I bought this adapter to use on an older desktop that I'm bringing up to current standards. Bluetooth was the last item I needed to complete this.
I can confirm that this works out of the box, no drivers or downloads needed in Manjaro. Didn't even have to update the kernel headers, and I'm running Manjaro, Kernel 5.15.
I have a JBL bluetooth speaker paired w/ this, along w/ a mechanical keyboard. Added another JBL speaker and a Logitech MX Master mouse to this w/ no problem at all. Everything works perfectly w/ zero lag or latency on either device.
Highly recommend this to other Linux or Raspberry pi users, as it's hard to find an adapter that just works. Already have another adapter ordered for future Linux projects.
In summary -- technically, yes, it works on Linux. But it's unimpressive, to say the least.
EDIT: I've booted into Windows on the same desktop, and the connection is just as poor. So, no, it's not a Linux problem but rather a problem of just not being a good adapter.
